Correct I like how I am called a homer when Spot the coach of Kitchener Rangers uses him in the tough situations.
Some people think if a defenseman doesn't score ll the time he is a poor defenseman, where as a tough defensive defenseman is just as important.
Tha of course is just my opinion, the kiddies of the world has there. - longbottom
You are a homer... You have a mean hard on for any kid wearing an Oil Kings jersey. |

Yes, they play the same teams, it's WHEN the Russians play certain teams.
Heading into the tournament, Group B's ranking was:
1. Canada
2. Russia
3. USA
4. Slovakia
5. Germany.
- Game 1: Russia vs. Slovaks = Not the worst opponent, but not CAN or US either.
- Russian's have day off to rest
Game 2: Russia vs. US = This is the US' second game of a back-to-back. Most likely the easier of the two games vs. CAN & US
Game 3: Russia vs. Germany = Russian plays the second game of a back-to-back against arguably the weakest team in the tournament
- Russian's have day off to rest
Game 4: Russia vs. Canada = This is Canada's second game of a back-to-back, after just playing the US. Russia knows that Canada is likely their toughest opponent in the pool. Russia also knows the rivalry between CAN/US and hopes that they beat the sh1t out of each other.
No my friend, it's brutally obvious that Russia stacked the schedule. What a coincidence that Russia plays BOTH Canada and the US after a days rest, while both teams meet Russia on the second games of their B-2-Bs. Furthermore, they save Canada for last so they know EXACTLY what the big picture looks like and hopes Canada/US the have hurt/exhausted each other just the day before.
I guarantee that Sochi will be even more obvious. - As_I_See_It
They probably would have been better off playing Canada on day one. |

Nugent-Hopkins looks like a Sakic out there. I can only hope that Edmonton will (frank) it up somehow and he will demand a trade. History is on my side. - rhinobucket
I doubt it. RNH doesn't seem like a little b1tch. |

He's 5'11", he will fill out his 176lb size over the next few years to a more NHL frame, he's only 17 after all. I think Jones is the most hyped player in the draft and he isn't delivering. He's playing top pairing minutes and turning the puck over at a Usain Bolt pace while coributing nothing offensively outside of the Germany game. - trolleytracks
trust me, as a STH in Halifax Drouin is about 5"8, 5"9 if he's lucky. That said, he is the best player on the ice 80% of the time in the Q. Whoever gets him is getting a stud. |

Not to get into semantics, but he's definitely not that small. I'm 5'9 and still play college puck and have to watch film all the time and have a good idea about what size I look like on the ice. Drouin is definitely taller than me.
He's probably 5'10-5'11 and tops out around 6-6'1 when he's done growing. |

I stood next to him at the rink 4 weeks ago, i had him by a half inch or so and I'm just 5"9. MacKinnon is about 6 foot. |

Seriously
Those (frank)ing sneaky Canadians made sure to take Finland out first, then they had a day of rest to play the always darkhorse of Czech Republic. Then they picked Denmark to play in the game after to claim the schedule is fair. They then had a two day break to face their arch-rival America on New Years Eve after forcing the US to play a game against the Czech's the day before.
No my friend, it's brutally obvious that Canada stacked the schedule. What a coincidence that Canada plays BOTH America and the Czech's after a days rest, while both teams meet Canada on the second games of their B-2-Bs. I saw him play in Halifax last year and in Gatineau, he looks like I can't judge how tall he is from my seats because I'm not a wizard. I got my height stats from the Q's website, I have no reason to believe they'd give him 3 inches. You're right, he is a stud and whoever drafts him will be more than pleased. |

Again, I am unsure of what you expect from Reinhart, he's a defensive minded player, he isn't Reilly. He's the guy you want paired with Reilly, because he keeps his own end safe. - Ben37
Im not hating on reinhart. Or saying hes terrible. Im more commenting that unlike some have suggested, He absolutely has not been great this year. Including with the oil kings. Way more should be expected of a 4th overall pick.
His inclusion on the team can even be debated. And neither has he been outstanding for team canada. But Mediocre on a mediocre group.
And whoever said he needed to be like reilly? Hes a 2 way, defense first guy. But even at that, he certainly hasnt been impressive.
To the poster who likes to use a derogatory term for younger people as some sort of ammo against, stop wasting your time. You're just making me laugh. Your old age doesnt make u wiser. It just means uve been clueless for far longer |

It's simple: Drouin is ranked behind MacKinnon and Jones because he's not as good as either of them. |

Agreed. Also, huberdeau looks weak. His little moves never work. I would like to see MacKinnon get more ice time, he should be playing with drouin. |
