I disagree that I'm wrong. Fehr doesn't call the shots. The players do. Fehr knows what a good deal is, and would recognize that. The player know what a good deal is. They would've have made tweaks to the offer just as they have now. And in my opinion it would've led to a quick deal.

read my edit in the post, and my original post wasn't a troll post. Anyone who thinks the players have a say in the negotiations are... special. Sure they might propose some stuff to Fehr and tell him they want to get a deal done, but Fehr will tell them some bs and he will tell them what he wants to do, and because there so God damn stupid they will go along with it. If guys like Doan and Iginla were there from the start maybe we wouldn't be locked out right now.

I know your pro PA, but do you seriously think the players call the shots? The fact that Fehr told the players to hold out on one of the previous offers when they were considering voting for it is a clear indication that the players are puppets and Fehr is the puppet master in the PA.

Well Fehr advises them, and considering 85% or more of the players are highly uneducated they go along with what he says because they have no idea what hes talking about other than the main issues. But just like with Goodenow, there will be chinks in the armor as more time goes by.
