Hamilton will not become a better NHL'er than Nuge. - Maxbone

There's a difference between giving up on a guy and suggesting you move him to acquire a high-end player who would fill a roster need. Oilers have two solid Top 6 RW's in Eberle and Hemsky. Tobias Rieder could turn into another Hemsky in a few years. And it's not as if Hemsky is old about to retire right away.
Edmonton's depth on the RW might be the only position they have an abundance of. We know the D need to be better, and we know the forward group is too small physically, especially at center.
Creating a winning hockey team is all about asset management and organizational depth. In suggesting Yakupov could be turned into something else, I'm not at all suggesting he's a bad player. He's a great player. We just need other things more. - Maxbone
Either way you know the pp will be good for few goals a game. Dubey can keep us in there most nights. So much defence prospects and cap wise we aree good moving forward. Another element your not observing is yakopov on a penalty kill role. Ide bet he be good for 4 shorties a year alone. Wanna get rid of a rw hemsky can go imo for a defenseman. You keep talking about subban well hes not signed for a reason mabye hemsky and subban package can be drawn up. Remember plekanec and hemsky play together |

Habs are weak on D, why in hell would they trade they best young D? |

Hamilton will not become a better NHL'er than Nuge. Heck, Hamilton won't even turn out to be the best NHL defenseman in the group. Rielly easily wins that honor. - Maxbone
Wish klefbom was in the tournament. Him and smid will be a great shut down pair. Also on the pp hall-nuge-yakopov justin shultz and eberle |

Yeah he keeps talking about positional needs but forgets penaltys happen. And since clearly horcoffs days are done yakopov is the type to make teams pay for sloppy power play set ups you give him an inch and hes gone |

They wont but still curious why hes not signed. Also glad someone else doesnt see as a good fit for edmonton. We dont need gezlaf we dont need sakera the list goes one. In a few more years the kids will grow into different positionsl roles. Hall should be number 2 center if need be hed be less volnurable to injury too prob. |

PK's agent said they were close to a deal before the lockout was called, once this CBA is settled, PK will get his long term deal, I'm not worried. With Markov, Kaberle, Gomez and Gionta off the book in 2014, Habs will have the money. Gomez will be bought out this summer.

Didn't yakupov have two great short handed rushes against the canadians?? His goal totals from the past suggests to me that in the long run he burries them more often than not..
Rieder right now only has 23 pts in 27 games in ohl..maybe injured, still he will never bring to the oilers whar yakupov will..

I'd love to see the Habs buy out Cole. Then every other gm refuse to give him another contract.

I was a little worried when the Habs drafted Galchenyuk because A) his injury and B) I was afraid that his stats were great because of playing with Yakupov.
But I'm not worried anymore. The kid is a freak... I haven't been so excited about a Habs prospect in my life. The way he is tearing up the OHL right now is just insane.
I want a NHL season so bad because we need this lottery pick. My Habs are going to suck again this year and I would love to draft a guy like Drouin. If there is no season and the NHL uses the 2005 format, the Habs will only have one ball in lottery |

The Jets have a gem in Trouba. I can't remember the last time I was this impressed by a defenseman in the World Juniors. |

Harrington has certainly been Canada's best defensive dman, Incredibly impressed with the way this kid plays and how he handles himself in post-game interviews pens have another gem in their already great prospect pool for the blue line. Kid seems like he's a natural born leader |

Lol - robin_steele264 be careful there Haas. To quote Mackenzie. Nuge should dominate this tourny. Only 2 players have ever played in this tournament after a full NHL season as per Mackenzie. Both players had very good rookie seasons. They were Berger on and Daigle. He said both were dominate in the tourny as well. Yet neither are top line nhlers.
I'm not saying Nuge won't be great. But I think you should be a little more modest |

how many first line centers had more than 0.83 PPG last year, factor into that he was an 18 year old and weighed about 175 pounds soaking wet. |

Daigle had 20 goals and 50 points in his rookie season while playing on a sens team that was probably the worst team of our generation. How did that all play out? Bergeron dominated this tourny more then nuge in a yr that had the 3 best NHL players currently playing in it. |

In the last decade of first overall picks the only ones imo better are crosby ovi and stamkos. Nuge will be a great nhler |

I only wish Spott saw what you , me an MacKenzie see
In Rielly...he would grow to insane proportions if given
Even reasonable icetime..
The homer poop with his boy Murphy is ridiculous...
And Reinhart is another liability |
