Yeah I would def not worry to much about Kovy. I dont think Atrain gets a buy out either.

Agree with both points in this post. Kovalchuk will be fine and I doubt Volchenkov gets bought out.

I think Kovy playing in the KHL this whole time is gonna make him even better if we have a season, what i'm most worried about is Marty. His age + inactivity during the lockout might be really bad for us.

Pushed back. I believe last time the season ended in the beginning of May and the trade deadline was like the 12th or 14th of April.

well i see the lineup is pretty bad right now...but i'm thinking if we can remain competitive until the deadline we have a bit of space and a bunch of defenseman we can move to shore up the forwards...cause next season is gonna be rough with basically 1/2 our roster going UFA/RFA including zajac elias and clarkson

Todd, what do you think of Seth Jones this tournament? People keep saying he's been terrible, and granted he has had a couple of brutal turnovers. But he's a very fluid skater, has some good offensive instincts, and an active stick. I think fans have been a bit hard on him, but that's just me.

He's been good for the most part. Has made a few bad turnovers as you pointed out but he's been pretty steady. Good skater, big shot, good size, has potential to be top pairing shutdown D.

I haven't seen every US game but he has looked pretty decent to me. What has impressed me the most has been his pure athleticism, the dude can move. There have been a few times where I cringed because he was being a bit too cute in his own end, but that can be beaten out of him by the right coach.

I would put my money on him going 1st overall(assuming there is a draft). Mackinnon is good, but he has been virtually invisible this tournament

Glad to know I wasn't the only one to see it. Never understood why people were saying he's overrated. How good do you expect a 17 year old to be, especially as a defenseman? D tend to take more time to develop at their position. And I agree Bobert. Granted I don't watch any of the prospects with regularity, but from what I saw this tournament, Jones was the most impressive draft eligible player. Drouin was as impressive, but his small size will probably cost him a couple spots at the draft.

Has anyone else noticed that the last roster update for nhl 13 took wedgy out of the game lol I don't understand how they can do an update and take players out unless they lost the rights to have them in the game because of there new team ?
