not enough change from last years team, no reason for me to believe they will be any better. - Homer
Understood. I think the run at the end plus this team minus Roy + Ott makes this team a bit better.
Perhaps this is not the year but with talent I see budding beneath the NHL level for this organization especially the log jam of defensemen, this team is very close in my opinion. |

Just wind that little handle you see there.
It plays a pretty tune.

I think we are very close to 6th seed. I like our team and I like the direction. But I think the times off serves no team better than Buffalo. |

Even if they file, it's not the end of the world. There will be a season, they are not cancelling this season, too close to a deal, PA is only trying to gain some leverage...nothing more. - Symba007
Since we all know they are trying to gain some leverage... are they really gaining some leverage by voting again? |

Me also. The Sabres are usually one of the better teams in the league the last half of the regular season. |

Stupidest post of the day!
I personally know some owners and they did not want to miss any games at all this year. They did not want to lock the players out, but by not negotiating until really December, they had no choice.
The pace of this has all been dictated by the PA. They wanted to make it adversarial and they have. It did not have to turn this way but they chose to do it. They have lost far more than they will ever gain. Its been all political decisions instead of well thought out strategies. unfortunately the NHL feared it would be like this the moment Fehr was hired. And they were right. Fehr is killing the sport. He has killed all the momentum the league had going for it. They have alienated millions of fans and for what? Its a complete joke. (frank) Fehr and (frank) the PA! - Iggysbff

it's a risk the league does not want to take.
League can cancel the season
Players can DOI and file an anti trust motion against the league
both side have leverage.... |

The PA's attempt to have the NHL suit tossed out
https://docs.google.com/f...2ZQTjdSdWN3dHM/edit?pli=1 - faceto27
Fairly predictable. Basically ..you don't have anything to sue about until we disclaim/decert and/or an anti-trust suit is brought. Just adding a little risk/leverage to their side of the table. |
