He's a sheep because he believes they will play this year? Not sure what is sheepish about that. It's anyone's guess at this point. Without anyone of us being in the rooms or being close with Fehr/Bettman, everything is hearsay. Furthermore, anything that is release to the public/media, is done so with precision. If you don't think 95% of statements released are planted for the purpose of painting the other side in a negative light, then you are the sheep in all of this.

It's anyone's guess as to whether or not they'll reach a deal in 8 days. You could be a glass-half empty guy and say "110 days isn't enough; 8 will not do either". However, it's obvious to most that this was likely a negotiation tactic (ie: US financial cliff).

I think a season happens. I don't have any hard evidence; I just think that 2 groups of adults are smart enough to realize that a sh*tty, 48 game season with angry fans is better than a canceled season. But that's just me...
