If the players don't like the cap they can file their disclaimer for good. There's no way for league to implement a cap, and there's no limit on what players can get paid. Competitive balance has greatly helped the league revenues, and thus the players.

What's broken is the NHL/PA trust. That's on both sides.

Well at my age, I'm not anymore into wild partying till 5am, but going to a pub, shooting the sh*t about sports, having some pints, no problem with that. Always good to lay your cards on the table, everyone's idea of fun is different,

Teams have two amnesty buyouts to get under the cap. Parity has always been bettman's goals. I'm sure the large teams don't like it, but their values and revenue have for the most part skyrocketed.

And some teams may have to weaken their teams and use those buyouts. In my opinion that is bad for the NHL. Weaken the large market teams to try and prop up the small market teams. Some of which may be dogs with fleas regardless of what this CBA is. I think that is a bad plan. Find a better plan that allows the large market teams to do what they want to do without dragging the small market teams with them. Every year there are good teams and bad teams. This CBA isn't going to change any of that.

Didn't the cap do just that, weaken the bigger teams and make the smaller teams more ability to compete? Revenues are higher and grew faster after missing a whole year and a pretty terrible American economy. A healthy league is good for all teams.
