I seriously hope that if the Flyers are going to trade quality assets, that it's not for Bobby Ryan. - MJL
Especially when you consider the potential price tag.

That'd be a lot of hockey capital that could be used to solidify the blueline. Based solely on this, the only way I see Mr. Ryan taking a flight to the Delaware Valley is to see the family. |

Just stopping by quickly to say, "Bill, you're the best."
While I am happy the NHL is back in operation. I can't say "I missed hockey," because (like your RT today), hockey did not go away. |

Definitely expect a trade LOL
When fans and media talk about the Flyers, the defense often is viewed as the weakest part of team. Disagree?
“Meszaros is a question mark because of his injury, but he’s a good player. Kimmo’s a good player. Coburn’s a good player. Grossmann’s a good player. I think Luke Schenn is a good player. I think he’s going to be a real good fit on our team. I don’t particularly get into reading what other people say, but I like our defense. They’re big and their mobile and they can move the puck. Kimmo got bigger over the lockout!”

Yes. Since team can't get rid of his $1.7M cap hit via waivers and AHL assignment, they might as well carry him on big club along with Gervais and Lilja. The Flyers have no lack of 6th-7th caliber D men. It's what happens if any of the top five go down or struggle that concerns me.

Why does everyone keep saying Tim Thomas is crazy?
And isn't crazy a pre-requisite to play goalie? |

A young 4 time 30 goal scorer isn't worth young talent?
Bobby Ryan is a stud of a player. |

It's probably related to his "I'm not playing next season" episode earlier this year. |

Great, they save on taxes. How does that help them when the cap floor continues to go up and their own revenues and league revenue sharing doesn't cover them getting to that floor. The cap isn't keeping them competitive, it's forcing them to spend money they don't have on players that are being shed by high profit teams that CAN afford them but can't fit them under the cap.
Yeah cap!!! - mayorofangrytown
Sic'em boy!!!! Good moat!
But seriously the cap isn't helping I'm sorry. |

Apparantly not a good locker room guy....I read somewhere that he stepped on the Bruins logo on purpose in the lockeroom. Supposedly that considered a very very disrespectful thing....Dont want a guy like that. |
