You beat the Penguins last year.
You have Giroux.
You're not the Eagles.
I'm out. |

But seriously, what's different than the team from last year that makes you feel this season is a write off? |

Funny, I didn't see any * next to the Devils in 1995. - Jsaquella
No kidding.
I would still have a great time at Flyers' Stanley Cup parade.....even one won after a shortened season. |

According to Panotch, via Bill, looks like the Flyers will bury Matt Walker somewhere besides the AHL.
Bill Meltzer @billmeltzer
Per @tpanotchCSN, sounds like Matt Walker (hip/groin/abdominal issues) is another LTIR candidate this season. Has prorated $1.7M cap hit. |

2Real is usually as positive as a guy who just got told he has prostate cancer the day after his wife left him & stole the winning powerball ticket |

To me, the whole winning the cup in a shortened season not meaning as much isn't even a discussion. It's still a signficant number of games and it may actually be harder to make the playoffs this way because you can't lose a whole bunch of games and still rebound. Once you get to the playoffs.. it's still going to be a war of attrition to get 16 wins, so I have no idea why people think it would be a tainted cup.
I know if the Flyers were to win, I wouldn't care what people said..I'd be on a flight to philly to watch the parade down Broad st. |

Bad news. They'd be better off carrying him for as long as possible, or burying him in the minors and take whatever relief they can get. Flyers want to avoid using LTIR and the bonus cushion if at all possible. |

He's positive when things are going well though. I've seen it with me own eyes i tell ya!
My older brother is a huge Flyers fan, and one of the most pessimistic humans on the planet. Maybe there's a correlation... |

They can put all the asterisks they want next to it. If the Flyers win the Cup, when I'm at the Parade on Broad St, I won't give a rats ass! |

As you should. I don't care if the season is 10 games long, winning 16 games in the playoffs in this league is not easy. |

Angelo already said this morning he can't wait to start ripping Bryz again. I think his feelings were pretty hurt when Bryz asked the media to leave him alone and without Reid as his crutch, he needs someone new to lean on. - funmaster18[/quote
That clown is all schtick. Its abhorible that Morganti and, particularly, Jones go along with it. |

I had to start self medicating early this year, judging by all of the negatives already being thrown around. I thought we'd get a little post agreement bliss, but I was sadly, and shockingly, surprised. |

I don't care what issues currently surround the team, we have hockey now. This is going to be a season where I sit back and enjoy the ride. With a shortened season, I don't feel it's worth getting into why they are going to do and such. I've spent too much time hoping for a lockout resolution that I'm not going to tarnish the feeling of joy I'm currently experiencing. I'm jut happy to have it back and will see what happens as the events unfold. |

Anyways, had to make sure the gear all fits. Don't want to go a size up like Mr. Lucic |
