Please? Your posts are just oozing with intelligence. We all love reading them. Have you ever thought about starting your own hockey website? Everyone around here takes what you say very seriously.

well considering you think the leafs are the laughing stock of professional sports when they are worth 1 billion dollars...it's a good thing you haven't started your own hockey website since you clearly dont know what you're talking about.

Thanks for that. I completely forgot that profit and being a good team go hand in hand.

sorry we cant all be bandwagoners like you. and considering as a franchise the leafs have won more stanley cups than most teams...i don't see how they are the laughing stock when there are teams like the nucks who havent won anything.

Sorry man, I wasn't thinking straight when I made my location. I'll update it to reflect the Maple Leafs hockey supremacy. - woopstash
It appears you don't get it. Remember the post Lemieux days it Pitts. when the team really sucked, the arena was almost empty. The crowd bailed on them and never returned till they got good again.
As you point out how long the Leaf's have sucked but still maintain to fill the seats with fans of the game, yes not winning, but fans of the game.
Win or lose, we don't stop loving the game.
We tell our kids that play to have fun first, its about the game.
You don't seem to understand that by calling the team with one of the best fan bases in hockey, the joke of the NHL.
Yes it sucks not to be as good most years, but we are strong enough to take it, not like other inferior fan bases.

I'm just glad you guys are finally admitting how awful the Leafs are.
I actually think that the fans being gluttons for punishment has hurt the team. If the Leafs were treated like any other business, they would be fired. Why would an owner want to spend millions more of his own dollars if he knew he would still make just as much money if he didn't? Why pay to upgrade your product if people still insist on paying top dollar for it no matter how terrible it is? It's the perfect scenario for an owner. If fans would have stopped spending their hard earned money then maybe ownership/management would actually take time and do things the right way instead of trying to "fast track the rebuild."
