What is the point of booing? Making a statement would be not buying tickets and not showing up to the first game. Obviously season ticket holders have already purchased their tickets so I wouldn't necessarily blame them for showing up.

But booing after buying tickets and showing up to the game? All that says is hey I'm kind of mad but not mad enough to forego shelling out the much needed money that the players and owners fought over for 4 months while not caring one iota about the fans.

Exactly. Fans will come back and come back strong. Also with this years schedule breakdown tickets are going to be super expensive with all the divisional/conference matchups. Teams/NHL/Players don't care about us fans, if they did they would have held marathon after marathon negotiating session prior to the season to make sure there was no lockout. Think any of them are going to offer half off tickets for the 1st game to make up for the lockout, hell no.

well i get that nobody wants to play columbus, but dont you like seeing your team play chicago ever since the 2010 finals? i know last season the most entertaining game i watched was van vs boston. its an intense rivalry that will be faded away by them never playing
