Ok besides those three??? we are talking about 3 out of like 25 people on this team. Not a good ratio - kasperrko
I think some of the younger guys will do well this year like Nino, Donovan and maybe Ness. |

Sheehy didn't know he couldn't be traded either... he has some issues.
Not doing a good job.
I understand Vis wanting to go home and play there. Retire in his home town where he grew up.
He thought he was going to get bought out by Anaheim... then he would be free to leave.
It doesn't help that he is only owed around 2 million dollars, and the have probably offered more money to stay. - jimmc7722
When he whined after the trade originally.........i said the same thing i'll say now. If he was traded to the Rangers, with all their star power, he does not make a stink. He reports to the Rangers after the lockout ended, with bells on....
Im not buying into all this, he wants to stay at home. This guy couldnt be more obvious about not wanting to play for the isles.

What truly amazes me most about that article, is that Dipietro speaks as if its just a time issue.........and he just needed to heal. Nevermind the fact that its been 5 years in a row of injuries, or that he hasnt played competitive hockey in that time. But, its just a matter of him healing and getting back out there. COMEEEEE ONNNNNNN. Stop lying to yourself Ricky..........its over kid. - kindlyrick
Not a good thing to say... but I hope he drops the first game he is in!!!
Just retire due to injury, and get it over with.
Even healthy... he didn't look right.
Always letting in easy goals, and can't get from post to post. |

goaltending in bridgeport is fine..the defense is horrendous...i think the kids call that foreshadowing!!! - NYI78
Question for you...I haven't seen Bridgeport this year but if you're correct that the goaltending is fine, would you trade Nabokov to Chicago for Niklas Hjalmarsson or Nick Leddy? |

why would you want subban in your locker room?? he's a me first player..he's not great in his own end and takes stupid penalties...hardly the guy i want to give up 3 or 4 picks for - NYI78
I dont wanna give up 4 picks, but id part with 2 of em. He's already becoming one of the better offensive dman in the league. He can skate, pass, shoot, and isnt afraid to throw his body. I like cocky when its warrented. The isles in the next few years are gonna be mostly kids who played juniors in canada.......Subban will get along just fine. To me its really that simple..........get PK Subban. |

We're talking about the best players in a sport in the world, and a guy who's been away from the game for 5 years. Does he really think he's that phucking talented that he can just jump back into the NHL and lead a team to the playoffs (barring he stays healthy). I mean that alone screams arrogance.

Yes I would def do that. Poulin and Nilson can hold it down for 48 games. |

He is playing in his hometown... he really doesn't want to come back to North America.
Look @ Kovy... he would rather stay in his home country.
OV said that they all talked, and if they didn't like the new CBA... they were all staying in Russia!!!
He is happy there... I don't think it mattered what team he played for. But because it's the Islanders, everybody thinks it's just them.
But only Vis know for sure... I guess we will find out this weekend!!!
Should be interesting!!! |

Ok well here it goes I hoep they all have great seasons. If this team is a bust this year which I will say thre is about a 90% chances of that, then I think Snow needs to be shown the door. I have never seen a team be sopatient with a failing product each and every year |

Dee Karl: BST Loss in OT & KHL Agreement
Heartbreaker of a loss for the Bridgeport boys - Dee Karl
Was listening to the NHL network on XM and a few different hockey experts had the isles, panthers, and leafs missing the playoffs. Shocker!

Of course OV is gonna say that..........its in his best interest to get that lockout over with. He wants his 100 million dollars. Im not sure what he was gettin in the KHL but i read somewhere that if Crosby went to play over seas, his insurance alone was 400k a month. You multiply that times the season and the numbers are more in the NHL. Ovechkin is a moron.......he says stupid stuff all the time. Lets see how long he stays in the KHL knowing he never won a cup.......he'd always be remembered as a quitter. Im also pretty sure i read the other day that Kovulckuk is coming back to the devils.

Let him play back up Nabby.
I don't want him taking away playing time from Poulin, or Nillson.
I wish him luck... and it would be great to prove everybody wrong, but it doesn't look good for him and his future in the NHL. |

See and i dont trade Fransy ever. That guy should be in an isles sweater for as long as shootouts matter. He's money in the bank, and those pts come in handy for a team who goes on 20 game losing streaks....

Look i like an underdog as much as the next guy. But 5 years in a row...........those numbers dont lie. Its not like its year 2 of his injuries. Its also not a coincidence that he only played a game or two in Germany. The guy has not played a full (or half) season of serious hockey in 5 years. What makes him think he can EVER get back to NHL form?

Well it is DP what do you expect. He thought he was a hockey God when he first got here and still does. so I dont expect anything less from him. I wills ay it again he is just below a mediocre goaltender and not for nothing the AHL IF that is where he belongs |

You know they are rebuilding... you always seem to miss that point.
5 year plan... restock the team with young players, then make some moves using the prospects as bargining chips. |

Not really making a serious comparison cause every team is different, BUT, the Kings started their rebuild, the same year the isles did. They also hired a guy named Dean Lombardi who the isles interviewed, but decided to go with a seasoned general manager in Garth Snow. |

Don't know... big ego.
Doesn't want to give up.
It's either retire due to injury this year... or hopefully Wang just buys him out next year.
Either way... he will be around this year. I don't think anybody needs his distraction anymore.
It just screws up everything. |

Trade Nielsen!? You must be kidding! Nielsen is one of the best 3rd line centers in the game. If Strome is ready to go he'll play second line center and Frans can play his natural 3rd line center role. 3rd line centers like Frans Nielsen win championships, trading him is the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. |
