don't worry. i just read a rumor on twitter that says the flyers are interested in luongo. that will fix everything.
carchidi says there's no truth. normally i would agree, but sam also said there are shootouts in the playoffs, so.... - hammarby31
i'd be interested in him too if it van buys him out
if we could have him cheaper than bryzgalov that'd be great |

They have a lot of options. They could very easily trade SImmonds or Voraceek before Read. They could trade picks. They haven't even started camp yet & people(not you) are jumping off bridges. - Jsaquella
I should be used to it, as a region we love to hate losing more than we love winning. |

Eminger wasn't a TDL deal - Jsaquella
Plus Eminger wasn't past his prime. A player has to actually have a prime to be past it!

Agreed. And every year there is a scapegoat on the team. I'm pretty sure I know who it's going to be already.

I don't mind the hate losing more than loving winning part, it's just the incessant stupidity that comes with it. It's like a one trick pony, becomes tiresome. |

I'd think Read is that entry level bang-for-your-buck kind of player we'd want to hang onto rather than trade for pennies on the dollar, especially if we're looking to deal from the forward wealth to shore up the blueline. - BulliesPhan87
yea wish we kept upshall so we need to keep read |

They'll blame Da Man.
Whats interesting to me is that the Flyers were a Weber away from being the best team in the league (my words).
Now, we have a good chance to make some noise in the SC run. I'm one for simply enjoying the ride. G may end up as one of the top 10 athletes to play in Philly. I hope fans don't blink and miss that. |

It means don't trade away our young, energetic, cheap players.
My concern is that I learned from MJL that a player realizes their full potential by 29. Read is 26. So is he near his peak? I'm a little comcerned. |

Despite some denials, the tweet earlier from @EnricoCiccone is accurate. The Flyers are interested in Roberto Luongo.
james duthie @tsnjamesduthie
Doesn't mean they are going to get him. Doesn't necessarily mean they'll make an offer. But they've inquired. Could buy out Bryz in June.

Paul Holmgren going in on Luongo big time. Next year, Breezer gets bought out #takeittothebank |

I'm ok with Luongo in and Bryz out, in the summer, if both get bought out. I have no interest in swapping a horribly long contract for another, even if Lou is the better goalie. |

Luongo is under contract for 10 more years. Why would Holmgren want that headache? I could see going after Luongo if his contract is bought out.

That would mean Ownership would okay throwing millions out the window. I would have a hard time believing that.

Is it true Talbot changed his number to 25 now that Carle's gone? If so, how long do you it will be before stores will carry his jersey and t-shirt with the new number? |
