Leddy is a 21 year old player who had a really good year last year. I really don't know why they would even be looking to move him. I know they have a bunch of young defenseman that they really like. But young quality puck moving defenseman don't grow on trees.

Chicago has done a really good job drafting defenseman.

Leddy projects to be a very good top 4 defenseman, maybe even a solid number 2 defenseman. That won't be cheap.

My guess is Read, Laughton & a good pick(1st or 2nd rounder)might be the ballpark

Absolutely. Flyers pipeline is pretty much barren due to picks being thrown away for marginal players. I know the fanbase is growing impatient waiting for a Cup, hell I'm at the top of the list, but this team has to start building through the draft.

I agree, but I vaguely remember hearing some rumblings about them looking to move him around the draft. Dont remember exactly what the concept was.

There are a few players out there that are still pretty interesting candidates if you (not you in particular) are hell bent on making a trade to get d help. Cam Fowler and PK Subban are two that fit that mold. Fowler struggled a bit again last year, and is a -53 over his first 2 seasons.. but his offensive abilities are definitely there. PK being a RFA still could start to draw some offers.. I would certainly take a look at him.
