Kab has been doing fantastic in North America & would be playing well in the A if not for a laceration earlier in the season.

YES.. but considering our past experiences with free agents... 3 free agents arent signing here & if they do the chances we can get 3 somewhat good d-men is a pipe dream... With that all said... OF COURSE I would want the money spent wisely (I.E. multiple lower priced players) but Redden is a higher talent & a very very good option should the multiple signing plan fall through.

ok so Isles have 19 mill in cap space this season.... WTF! How much money do you need??? Next season, 32 mill in cap space. Like come on, teams like the Isles are going to absorb salary and get compensated for it. The Isles will just ride this shorten season out and try to get everything they can and turn it into picks. This team will not spend or trade until they are playing in their new arena. In saying that, no players will sign here or want to be traded until the team has moved.

Lets say the isles extend Streit (hypothetical)........that roster right there is a playoff team. Even if its a 7th or 8th seed......its a playoff team, and thats without ANY additions. Thats straight up homegrown........imagine if they brought in a player like Evander Kane, or PK Subban and sprinkled that into the above roster? Now we're competing.

DeHaan will be lucky to play in the NHL and Donovan looked decent from what I've seen in limited time but that's it. With that said they are still better than ninety percent of our defense. It's pretty putrid and got worse with the subtraction of Visnovsky. It sucks.
