The one and only way I could see a three-way trade involving VAN, TOR and the Flyers is a deal where every team ends up with something coveted, such as Flyers ending up with Gardiner + Kadri (the rumored trading cost), Leafs with Luongo and Canucks with Schenn.
And, no, I don't think that will happen.

I love this Luongo stuff... All flyers fans know this is not going to happen just because it makes no sense whatsoever but sure lets mess with bryz's confidence before the first day of camp. Then the interview with all the cosmonaut stuff.. I am sorry but I think the idea that he is a little out there might derail the season for whole team. How about this lets see if we leave him alone and alone talk about hockey that maybe he has a bounce back year....We are setting bryz up to fail |

I don't think it will either but let's say it did. Would you be ok with giving up Schenn for Gardiner & Kadri? |

If Bryz fails it has much more to do with him than anything fans or media say IMO |

I'd be nervous about it. But Gardiner would be the real key, and he'd make me feel a bit better about the Flyers' blueline outlook going forward as well as this year. Would never give up Schenn for Kadri + lesser upside D-man.

Bill, any truth to the Flyers starting out with a home and home against Pittsburgh? |

If a rumour about Luongo destroys Bryzgalof then we might as well tell him we're buying him out right now and play Leighton. |

Home against Pittsburgh then a road game against Buffalo Saturday and Sunday is the current rumour de jour. |

From what I've been hearing, they open at home vs. Pittsburgh in a 3 PM Saturday game (NBC broadcast) and then will have a road game in Buffalo on Sunday afternoon (Sabres opener).
The Pitt opener is 100 percent confirmed first-hand. Game two is via secondary sources.

Agreed. I mean, I think Ilya's been treated pretty poorly by the beat around here, but if a rumor is too much his psyche is beyond fragile. |

Not too worried about Briere, unless they discover he actually has a fracture of some sort.

I think the media makes him seem more mentally fragile than he really is. I've scene scouting reports that actually call him "mentally tough". |

Thanks.. I live in Buffalo so I heard rumor Philly was playing here, but also heard the pens home/home.. I'd like to get solid seats because theyll likely only play here once this season |

I dont know, a person who talks about a person or in this case a fan base when there not around like he did in russia kinda smells of someone who lets every little thing bother him. I hope your right |

If it is a wrist fracture.. he could potentially miss the season. Or he could be back in 2 weeks. So many different types of bones you could damage.. and each one heals differently..
edit: wish it was an ankle injury |

I think the fact that they are brothers has zero significance on hockey moves... |

Oh, they'll be plenty of ankle injuries around here come the end of February when the Flyers are in 12th place. |

I know what you mean. I think we'll see his true colors after this year. Usually guys who sign big deals to play elsewhere, especially going from Phoenix to Philly (both in terms of media & on-ice system), have an adjustment period that 1st season. |
