Still not a huge fan of that deal, though I suppose I understand it to an extent. - OrangeBlack27
The fact that neither side loves the deal means it was fair, IMO. But more importantly, anyone who wants to declare a winner in this deal when neither player has taken the ice is laughable. Honestly, any judgment prior to a full season is premature. Both players were said to need a change of scenery. I think think we'll need 2 seasons to see who really won this.
Let's just say putting out some flames before the fire starts.
It's too bad our teams hate each other so much huh? We have lots of potential candidates for your 3rd pair...
You might end up picking one of them up on waivers at some point. - canadianpenfan
I, for one, am looking forward to the Paul Martin amnesty buyout and welcome him to our blueline next season. It's our goal to facilitate his quest to be the defenseman version of Arron Asham
Backstory- So this is a ride at a Russian ski resort. Keep your eyes on the guys at the bottom of the hill that are supposed to catch him. Apparently their miss cost this guy his life...
So I ask...why would you have this ride next to a cliff? Seriously, I'm never going to Russia.

Just taking a peak at potential UFA d-men this summer, and my dream third pairing of Smid and Smaby can be had! Honestly though, if Edmonton doesn't lock up Smid soon, we should take a serious run at him. He's only 26, can hit, solid 3-4. Re-sign Timonen at a way lower cap hit for a year, drop Gus in the mix, call it a day. Others I see that I'd take a look at if I was Homer:
Ian White
Douglas Murray
Rob Scuderi
Andrew Ference
Ron Hainsey
Ryan Whitney
Jordan Leopold - Rocktane
Ya know I want them to go after Whitney as well if he's available.
He's hurt a lot, so he'd fit right in. But the man is an assist machine....could we afford another question mark in the health department for next season's D corpse?
Options aren't exactly appealing either. Not really any guys that Homer could make a splash for, right?

No surprise on the lines and pairings, I pretty much have the same combination. While I prefer Talbot to play a much larger role then Rusty, the difference is position. Talbot can play both the wing and center, while Rusty only plays wing.
I am however how Meszaros fits when he returns. From my understanding, he only plays the right side on defense.
No Thanks!! I dont respect someone who thinks they know everything
MJL is a - Flyers_1488
You don't have to respect him, you just can't disrespect him in your public posts. I think you'd be better off just letting it go and talk about your team.

He'd have to come real cheap. Whitney hasn't been that good for a number of Seasons. But injuries are a big factor there. He's still relatively young.

Fedetenko can play Center. I beleive he might have been playing Center over in Europe.
