The one issue with Fedotenko playing 4th line center is that he's never been a full time center in the NHL, so we can be sure how he'd adjust or if he'd be able to sustain the level of play for a full season.
I wouldn't mind seeing Jesse Winchester get invited to camp, assuming he is fully healthy. He only played 32 games last year, but has decent size and has been a good faceoff man, winning between 53 & 55% of his draws over each of the last 3 seasons - Jsaquella
Yup. What you are looking for in a 4th line center is a solid defensive player who is good on faceoffs. |

I agree with Bill's take. I would not trade Couturier for Subban, but I would probably, reluctantly, give up Brayden Schenn in a deal to land him.
There's a rumor that PK re-signed with the Habs, 4 years $22mm, but unconfirmed...and no major reporter is reporting it yet - Jsaquella
Via David Pagnotta's twitter (@TheFourthPeriod), Subban's agent denies a deal is done. |

That is the only downside to either Talbot or Fedetenko at Center. Neither is particularly good at faceoffs. |

One concern I have with Winchester is his injury history. He's only played 70+ games in one of last 3 seasons. |

All you need is a pic of Corneilus posing like Hulk Hogan and you got the Trifecta! |

I like the size & IIRC he's got a good track record at the dot...not sure he'll be sold on being a 4th line center, though.
But I do like him. |

He makes methamphetamine out of school children. He's awful - Jsaquella
Really? Between having a new (2 month old) baby in the house and trying to finish my PhD dissertation I may need to get in touch with him...I mean I don't need to (frank)ing sleep right? Especially with the puck dropping in a week
Hope all you bums ( and MJL ) have been good during Bettman's Folly. Aiiight...back to lurker mode until I defend this bunch of poop I've been working on. |

I prefer Talbot playing in the top 9 preferably at wing, I think he's good enough to do so.
A checking defensive minded center who is good on draws and can kill penalties would be ideal for the 4th line. Having an offensive minded center on the 4th line doesn't make much sense because he's going to be playing with grinders. |

I agree. I would think he would probably crack a top 9 somewhere in the League even at this stage of his career. |

The other negative-really the biggest one- is Arnott's never been a big PK guy in his career. |

poop...its the fuzz...hide that pic of the weed. Ahhh...it is good to have hockey on the horizon and have an excuse to procrastinate a bit here at HB. So when is the Hartnell trade deadline this season....Thanksgiving has come and gone. |

Hope the lockout treated you well pLind. Got a lot done around here without any puck, but I am ready for some games (even if I am a bit pissed at the whole stoppage).
I hope Hartnell is not too far out of shape. He is going to need to keep up with G and Czeckie. |
