Your high on something all right.( I kid. I kid.)
Right now Schenn hasnt shown much at all at the NHL level(injuries, I know) whereas Coots has proven he can effectively PK and shut down top lines. - hereticpride
That's the thing with injuries, Schenn needs to be playing faster to avoid them at this level. |

I would do a B Schenn/Subban deal. Do not know if they would. This is going to be such a screwy offseason. Who the heck knows who will be available? - Just5
not even close. |

Not even a little bit.
Foster is basically a homeless guy's Pavel Kubina. He's got a great shot, works hard and has a good attitude. He's also slower than Jody Shelley, is injury prone, not especially good in his own end and despite being 6'5" 225 lbs, isn't very physical.
I worry that the shot will see him get PP time, and against an aggressive PK unit, Foster could be a huge liability.
I will admit, he gets the shot off more quickly than most guys with "big" shots. Like JvR had a cannon, but it took forever for him to wind up and blast. Foster definitely gets the shot off faster than a lot of guys - Jsaquella
He hasn't been the same since that cheapshot by Mitchell. Can't blame him, that was a horrific injury. |

No, that injury was definitely a turning point for Foster...it's not really Foster I have an issue with, just that the Flyers have a lot of big, slow defensemen. |

Both are going to have to produce more on offense this season. I do agree with you about Couturier (two way player). Kid reminds me of Jordan Staal. - stveshdy
The past Flyer that he reminds me of is Handzus. In his prime, he was a very good player. Coots, hopefully, will be quicker, and score more. Bill wrote somewhere Coots may top out at around 25 goals a season. Zus had 20 and 23 when he played for us - with +18 and +13. Zus is a bit bigger but never really use his size for checking. |

mentioning any Dman in the same breath as the Kubina the FLyers gave up a 2 and 4 for doesn't make me happy. |

I don't like deals like were you're just giving picks away for damaged goods. Eventually that will catch up with you. |

I don't want to see either of those guys go. They need D help but I gotta think that, as long as the team is in the playoff mix, Holmer will pull off some kind of stopgap (or better) fix. As long as the third pair is more solid than Lilja/Gervais after the deadline, they should be able to make a bit of noise. Then assess and address in the offseason. - Lexington Flyer
I think I would pull the trigger on a coots / subban trade. Reluctantly. My rational is that having subban balances this team out now and will help in the long run.
Harts-G-Jake
Schenn-Briere-Simmonds
Fedo-Laughts-Read
Wellwood-Talbot-Rinaldo
Kimmo-Subban
Coby-Grossmann
Mez-L Schenn
Also with Brayden, Danny, and Giroux there is no shortage of centers the next 3 seasons. Eventually Schenn can be groomed to take over 2C and that would leave Coots a 3C... My guess is he'd want (and deserve) more minutes than that down the road. Subban would help on the PP with that cannon of his. Jmo. |

9 points in 11 playoff games as a 20 year old is pretty good if you ask me. |
