you kept stating that his value to the team need be reflected in his contract amount. I was simply pointing out that the art work on the titanic is still on the titanic. - muffin_man
That's a great line.

So work it out...
Pacs got 4.5.. Gorges is 3.9, Markov 5.75, Pleks 5... He should be in the Pacs Gorges area.. - RENATO6
4 would probably satisfy everyone, just not his Agent...which seems to be the main issue here, the guy (Subban) just clearly wants to play, but when you're 23 and thats all you wanna have to think about is playing it makes it easier for the agent to run around trying to force max money for your contract...and for him of course |

i'm really not sure at this point i'd love it if he were reasonable enough to accept 3-4 years it'd be less headache for everyone involved i'm sure he'll get paid big eventually either way so i dunno i just know right now considering all circumstances he's got a slight advantage in leverage than most with his negotiation since the Habs dont have anyone to take up what he brings to the team and the young'ns arent ready in Hamilton (and damn has that ever been made clear this year...yikes) - Habitants98
Well anything over 3m is an overpayment imo.
And he'll get it. |

well then it must mean his agent doesnt see MDZ at the same value to his team lol which makes it even funnier that all this arguing is going on...or its a matter of years not money, i mean if you think agents have the same approach with all their clients without considering the individual circumstances....well....
but hey _nay_ in your day this 'boy' wouldnt even be allowed to have a contract right |

In the past, even if you got the #1 pick you couldn't move up more than 4 spots. From what I understood all they've changed is that now you can go all the way to 1.
I think PK is getting traded if they're really as far apart as they say. |

s u had 0% at #1 then since u could not move up to 1.

It's the same weighing system, but an elimination of the moving up 4 spots rule.... |

John Carlson just signed for 3.9 per, he's probably the best comp for PK. PK would get a little more because of QC taxes. |

ok so 14th has a chance at 1st not 0 but a little higher. Maybe same chance at winning lottery but now better chance to get #1. |
