Pretty much the same age, NHL experience and pts...
So okay, give PK a bit more because he's our #1 dman, but not that much.

And how come Del Zotto has the same stats if he's only their #3 dman??? If PK is our 1st, he should have a lot more don't you think?

- fidopro

PK plays 23+ minutes a game.

Del Zotto barely plays 20 mins.

MDZ has easier matchups than PK, Girardi and McDonagh get the other team's best.

It's not all about the points Fido, or else MAB would make much more than 1M per year.

Last year stats :

NRY 23rd on the PP
Habs 28th

The year before, Habs 7th, NYR 18th

Try again

- fidopro

Pk wasn't on the 1st PP the year before, at least he wasn't all the time. That's the year he was benched by JM every other month.

A friend of mine compared him to Couturier. What do you think?

The said friend spoke with a scout in Gatineau who saw him go top 10

They play a similar game, but Couturier was more offensive and more mature in his game at the same age.

Del Zotto should be comparable. He'd fetch more on the open market though and likely took a cut in pay or term to stick with what should be a contender to win it all. Subban has MTL over a barrel to a degree although how much of that is his agent or him I don't know. I suspect he'll come in around 3.5-4/ 4.
