I agree Petro will be in the Norris conversation, but doubt Weber will be without Sutter in Nashville anymore. Kind of surprised you left out last years Selke runner up, David Backes, in favor of third place Datysuk and sixth place Toews. And really surprised you would put 2 defensemen as possibilities for the Calder. Much easier to be an impact player as a rookie forward than a rookie defensemen, as evidenced by the awards history. |

If Hiller struggles, Fasth will win the starting job away from him and it may be the best thing for the Ducks.
Kovalchuk will make NJ forget about the boy names Zach. |

well the year Parise was hurt all year, two years ago, Kovalchuk had 60 points and was a -26.
Last year with a healthy Parise, Kovalchuk had 83 points and was a -9.
So naturally I question whether or not Kovalchuk will be even better than he was last year without Parise. |

I dont get to see many devils games living in ontario though i am a fan but from what iv gotten from following what i can the two didnt have much chemistry together anyways but parise did pull defenders off of him so he could be more open he might be watched more without the presence of parise |

Did you see how bad the rest of the team was?
We had a horrible coach. I thought this was established already? |

That's only because he will bolt for the KHL...and Devils fans will forget why the hate Parise, lol |

so you aren't going to miss Parise and Kovalchuk will finish 3rd in goals scored after Ovechkin and Stamkos. I get it. |

you have a head full of brick
I never said any of that, I was just responding to your comment about kovy's production without Parise.
You're only making assumptions on things I never even said. You have a very active imagination for a brick head. |

I am actually responding to the blog written by the Devil blogger who said Kovalchuk will finish 3rd for the Rocket Richard trophy.
Actually, that's where Gaborik finished last year, the Rangers team is improved from last year, so I question why the blogger would think Kovalchuk would have a better year than Nash or Gaborik. |

Why did you feel you had to explain what each trophy was for, would you do this:
The Cy Young Award : an honor given annually in baseball to the best pitchers in Major League Baseball (MLB), one each for the American League (AL) and National League (NL)
Hart: Brad Richards
Ross: Ryan Getzlaf
Vezina: King Hendrick
Norris: Drew Doughty
Lady Bing: Who Cares
Selke: Pav Datsyk
Calder: Sven Baertschi
Adams: Michel Therrien
GM: Dave Nonnis |
|
|
|
Malkin will post more points than Crosby, Lundqvist will win another Vezina thanks to a phenomenal McDonagh, who will also be in the Norris conversation, and Stamkos will lead the league in goals again. Sorry, but Jonas Hiller doesn't even come close to being on the list of top-5 goalies in the league, let alone winning a Vezina. - NYIsles16
There is no requirement that says you must be a top-5 goalie to win a Vezina. All it takes is a hot goalie at the right time.

Right and I was letting you know why kovy only had 60 pts
It's because the entire team sucked!
A lot of his points came after Lemaire took over. |

I think stamkos will score the most.
I'm not one for predictions. Kovy was doing really well with SKA, but it depends how well everyone else plays I guess.
I will say that I think kovy will score more than Nash, but then again I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't.
What I do know is, we are doomed. |

i agree, we should just pack it up and go home, devils are a bunch of horrible players who lucked into the SCF last year, and since we lost parise we should move to quebec |

well, realistically the Devils were better than the Rangers last year, but lost their captain and the Rangers gained Rick Nash.
It isn't unreasonable to think the Rangers will be better than the Devils, I don't think anyway. |

that's like saying the Devils gained a player for two when they made the trade for Kovalchuk.
Dubinsky had three goals at the all-star break last year and zero in the playoffs. |
