I think Flynn could end up being a great find. He's still going to need some time in the A, but that could really turn out to be a steal.

Ennis was all over the place. Just wish his line could have gotten a goal.

Myers had a nice hit on Foligno and had a really nice chance at the end of regulation that Miller got his glove on.

Complimentary players on that line. Reminds me of the last line Leino had success on.

Ott- sandpaper (Hartnell)
Grigorenko - playmaker (Briere)
Leino is Leino -puck possession mostly

Good point, please let this mean something.

I did a few posts back, but...

He looked pretty good. Seemed to be moving really well. Seeing the puck. Wasn't fighting it. Didn't seem to have an issue with rebounds. Made some nice saves.

Cody's shootout goal was just a really nice play. Managed to get it up just over his pad.

Yeah. Both looked good. I thought Enroth was actually going to show up Miller because he's in game shape and Miller isn't. But it seems whatever Miller was doing during the lockout worked because he looked very comfortable.

I wasn't planning on getting it at all because I live in market. I usually get it because I like being able to watch any game whenever, but with the season being shortened, I didn't think it would be worth it.

At that price, however, I might have to do it anyway.

Ott, Grigorenko, Leino line when attacking and scoring shall be coined the "GLO" line (as in lamp YO!) and when defending can jam things up under said "LOG" monicker. If they S*** the bed, Lindy can break em apart like LGO's!

You mean, if they don't produce a goal after 5 minutes, Lindy will break em apart like LGO's.

Yea , I would say easily over 10,000 were there.

Grigorenko stood out for me and by no means hurt his chances of making the Sabres for the white team. Enroth played lights out as well for the white team. Beauty of a glove save on Drew. Hodgson played hard all game got many good looks at the net but Miller was better but got winner in the shootout.

Blue team , Miller played well and and Adam seemed to be everywhere. Set up the only blue goal to Flynn. Also honorable mention to Pardy.

Going to bed a bit tired after double order of anchor bar wings after the game.

Night all be safe. Can tell you more tomorrow of what I saw and thought of some players in specific.

It was great to be at the FNC again. 2 roller dogs, a pop for the son, and a beer for me at $10 wasn't bad either. The shootout was horrible though. Seems like many of them were having trouble handling the puck (new ice?). Especially Leino.

I noticed the issues with the puck handling as well. Leo whiffed on a few things, Kaleta did when he was trying to get it into the zone right by the blue line. I think some of it may have had to do with the ice and the other just some general rust.

Everyone will attack me for this.... but.... Sekera is our best defenseman. He clears the zone more easily, consistently and quickly than any other d man on our team. And IMO last season, after a rocky start, he was our best d man for the second half. He is such a smooth skater and can handle the puck very well. I think this season he will take his game up a level and receive more recognition for his stellar play.

I would like to see Sekera paired with Myers. I think Myers will benefit from playing with him. Then maybe Regehr could play with Brennan to show him the ropes.

IMO Brennan is definitely going to be in our starting 6 this season. Why?
1. There is no way that R&R will risk putting him thru waivers. Pardy, Weber and Sulzer would all be sent down and thru waivers before Brennan.
2. Ruff would want to play Brennan for his prowess on the PP and as to not stunt his development. I don't think that Ruff would healthy scratch him. He has been on a tear in the AHL and Ruff will play from the start to see if he can continue that.

So, If he is on the team Ruff will play him. Bet on it.

I think that Weber Pardy and Leopold could all be on the trade block. I would trade Pardy and Leopold. Pardy and Weber are basically the same type of player, whereas Weber is a RFA and makes half the salary of Pardy who is a UFA this summer. Leopold will not be re-signed after this season and has some trade value. I would take a 3rd or 4th for Leopold and a 7th for Pardy, just to make space and get some compensation for our d men rather than losing them through waivers. If we ask for too much we will not get it, teams would rather try their luck with the waiver wire. If we offer a good value a team might bite.

Despite the mishandling of the puck during the shootout, I was impressed with the speed of play during the game. I thought many of the guys would still be getting their "game" legs back and would look slower than normal. Could just be the NHL is that much faster overall than the college/Junior games I've been watching.

And Gamecenter Live is $49.99 for the season. Mine is renewing automatically on January 21. I don't know if you have the option to purchase before that date, though.

For those who haven't used it, Gamecenter Live is easily the superior service when compared to Center Ice (my experience is only on cable). You get every game in HD and you get to select the home or away broadcast so long as both are actually being broadcast. So the only reason you'll have to listen to crap like NESN is if you are a sadomasochist. Every game on Gamecenter functions as though it were a DVR. The overlay also identifies highlights and such on a timeline at the bottom of the screen. You can go directly back to one just by clicking on it. The PS3 and 360 (I think) both have apps that let you watch games on your TV so you can still watch on your fancy HDTV if you have one of those systems. I think some TVs and BD players probably have the app available, too. You can also watch games on your smartphone (Android at least), tablet, and computer/laptop if you don't happen to be at home.

So you might want to consider saving yourself $10 and go with Gamecenter over Center Ice this year.

Youre right, you will ghet attacked.

Brennan will not be in the top 6.....not good enough in his own zone. One trick pony.

Sekera is alright, but Myers and Ehrhoff are way better than alright.

When I had it on TWC I only got whatever feed they put on. There was only one feed for each game being aired. There was also only one game in HD per night. And, of course, I can only watch when I'm actually home.

I have heard that Center Ice varies among the TV providers so it might be superior on something other than TWC (but isn't everything?).

i agree with you. would love to get a prospect for leopold but a 3rd or 4th would be just fine too. if pardy is an UFA in the summer than seeing something for him is better than nothing.
