“The KHL says they will met with NHL reps to figure out a solution,” said Yahoo’s Dmitry Chesnokov on Twitter. “But for now he cannot play in the KHL.”
Chris Johnston of Sportsnet report that the KHL asked the NHL for permission to allow Visnovsky to play with Slovan, but as of that point the KHL hasn’t recieved a response. The Islanders and the NHL will certainly not allow Visnovsky to play for Slovan, so the issue is whether the two parties on opposite sides of the ocean can come to some kind of agreement. - kindlyrick
Yes an agreement on this particular issue. The issue of the KHL allowing Lubo to play, which breaks the agreement that is already in place between the two leagues. |

Bottom line is this is the Islanders. We are not a good team have not been for years. We have a lame ass owner a clueless GM and coach. We do have one of the best players in the league in JT and a pretty good farm system. all it equals up to is no playoffs this year and more than likely next year. This year is a pass as there is only 48 games so to me this season is done already.
I do like the fighting going on though very entertaining. Oh and for you JM

at the end of the day, i think id be ok with him being in the locker room. if he reports, you can take it to the bank the players will hold a grudge but ALL will be forgotten (from most players) if the guy performs, and we all know he can perform. hed instantly make our D corp a lot better and would log top 4 minutes.
its a distraction but i think he could play himself out of this mess. - LetsGoIsles
Heres the problem........you have a guy with an attitude, and that same attitude transfers over to the ice. He's not just a d!ck cause he doesnt wanna come here. He's not wired right.......and im sure that would come out in other ways. The isles dont need that around the team... |

I forget the system but i know it has something to do with how much you sign someone vs how many picks you have to give up.
With the isles situation, anything they do will require giving up more than necessary. I would sign PK Subban if it meant giving up 3 picks, not 4. To me, getting a player like Subban will help our PP, and 5 on 5 play. He would be the face of the teams backend for years to come. So you give up 3 picks. Those picks wont be relevant for at least 5 years. By that time, the isles prospects will be NHL ready. To me its a no brainer........kids got talent. - kindlyrick
I agree, but he's just not worth four 1st rounders. They should poke around MTL about a trade, but I wouldn't offer-sheet Subban. Its just too much to give up for him. He's not Shea Weber. |

Subban, talent wise, is better than any d-man we have. Problem that I've seen is he can lose his focus very quickly in a game. He can look amazing in the first period and...well...not so much in period 2.
Still, I'd move a significant asset or two for him, but would not necessarily move mountains to get him. Three first rounders? I don't know about that. Problem is, it's the gift that keeps on paying. You're basically on the sidelines in the first day of the draft for three straight years. I might move Strome and a more minor asset for him, but they might get a better deal from someone else, and I'm not sure how much higher than that I'd go. |

If the Isles could get that pick back they would tell him to stay there |
