I really liked what I saw from Schenn in the highlights from some of his games in the A. he should be in shape, and if he brings that confidence to his game in the bigs, I can see some real chemisty. Giroux feeds Schenn who buries it.. sounds great to me. - Hextall271

if you looked at the single seats left for saturday's game earlier the back rows were $94, not 48 - Don'tForgetTocchet
That seems to be the general consensus. I'm passing judgement on the situation yet though. Waiting for a clearer picture. |

Hasn't Talbot been working with Coots and Voracek? I know Read has been getting work at Center. Think today I saw McGinn-Read-Simmonds practicing today. 4th line seems set with Rinaldo-Laughton-Rusty. I don't think Laughton is going anywhere. - The_Universe
If Briere is out I figured they'd favor Talbot at center over Read but your guess is as good as mine. |

Again off topic, but thank god Winnipeg took Mark Scheifele 7th overall instead of Couturier. |

I'd more like to know what they are doing to make nice to us fans who endured a lockout and are now spending money like mad? Thursday night practice followed by "we REALLY thank you" on the ice for a week? I can tell you what, my centre ice package is not free (although I thought that rumour made no sense). - Hextall271
I'm waiting for this very same thing, although I think we're going to be disappointed.
The Thursday practice thing is lame IMO.

You can further thank God that Couturier got mono during his draft year, which is why he fell in the first place. |

First off, I'd like to point out that Couturier awesomeness is always a welcome topic to me. Secondly, I agree! |

I think he was a bit of a stretch especially with Couturier still on the board. I think he'll be a productive NHLer but not at Couturier's level. We'll see. |

I am starting to think you are right. The die hards seem to be coming back in droves just like we knew they would. Let's not speak about the lockout and it'll all be good! |

Laviolette's system won't change. But Paddock can help the coach identify in-game strategic tweaks he can make that may not otherwise be noticeable from ice level, where things happen much faster. Any changes will be subtle ones. - bmeltzer
Hard to believe no one is talking about this tidbit, since it was such a hot topic last year.

They've been practicing Read with Fedotenko and Simmonds all week. Sometimes with Fedotenko in the middle, but usually Read.
Talbot has been playing LW all week with Couturier and Voracek.

I think Scheifele has the higher offensive ceiling, Couturier will be head and shoulders a more complete player.
I think Strome was a bigger streatch at 5 than Scheifele was. |

Talbot, Couturier and Voracek were an important line in the playoffs, no? |

If Briere doesn't play then does that mean Laughton will be the opening day 4th line center or do you think they'll use Sestito or someone else then? |

I feel Strome could be a good enough player to justify him being selected there. Or we'll officially add him to the coveted list of "Players Selected Before Couts"

Is Sestito even in camp? All I've been seeing shows Laughton as 4th line center. I think he gets his 5 game tryout. |

I have to admit, even though I prefer Voracek on the top line with Giroux. I like the idea of Couturier, with Talbot and Voracek. That could be a real good 2 way line. |

I forget who, but one of the reporters tweeted Sestito was skating the 5th line at practice. I assume that means he's overcome his case of the mumps. |

Likewise, it's good to see Schenn will really get a chance to shine. |
