Give them time.

They also didnt like Horton when he was available because he "took too many shifts off". Besides being concussed he has turned out just fine for the B's.

I think taking to many shifts off is funny....have they seeen their own team play? That's probably my biggest with the Sabres....on the ice anyway.

Thank you, I'll hang up and listen.

The worry I would have as any NHL club, is whether or not he doesn't decide to go back over there next time he needs a contract because he's not happy with what's being offered.

I know this season is different because of the lockout, but he signed a 2 year contract there. I don't think anyone else did that.

I think O'Rielly is a very similar player to Hodgson and Ennis. They are all about the same age. Bringing him in would cause more problems for us because of the fact that he is unproven and young (though he had a great season last year), and that he would ask for an expensive contract. I'm not completely sure of it but wouldn't we have to offer sheet him? If so definitely no to him.

Hes similar to the proposition of bringing in Sam Gagner from Edmonton. It would be nice to have another young, promising center... but what is the cost? If we could get a straight trade of Leopold for Gagner I would do that..

Having another young, promising center also brings the problem of after a couple years having too many centers... We would have to cut or trade 1 or 2 of them in the next two years

Having too many centers is never a problem. Ask Philly. Ask LA. You can always put a center on the wing. It gets done all the time. Having too many is a good problem to have.

Bring your friend for wings. That's what everyone always wants when they come to Buffalo anyway.

I mean, he is more of a balanced player than Ennis, and I would say he is the best defensively out of all three. I think it would be tough to decide how to use all three players if we had them. I realize there are differences but I was more or less focusing on their age and production numbers which, on average, are pretty similar.

I agree that isn't a bad to have too many centers, just saying it might prompt Lindy to (frank) with lines even more.

How would you guys roll lines if we had all three?

It would take one of them to get him IMO.
