That's just it. Two years ago I was trying to get rid of some Toronto tickets and we couldn't get anyone to buy them. It's all just because of the lockout and all that. Give it time. Things will even out again. - HonkFortheGoose
I think Terry is a huge factor too. If this team plays like it did down the stretch, I dont think things will go back anytime soon. And I'm fine with that. |

That person aside, I think Brennan represents some decent trade bait for a team lacking on defense. Especially if they need an offensive style player. I really do not think the return will be much, but he could bring a mid round pick/prospect. - Dwight K. Schrute
I would be willing to trade Leo for a pick/prospect. Why would we trade Brennan (technically a prospect) for a mid round pick or another prospect? Leo would clear cap space for a deadline deal, Brennan could end up being a very good player, we know what Leo is and he is gone after this year. |

I agree with this. But apparently the coaching staff doesn't think Brennan is more than a 5/6 guy. Guess we'll have to wait and see what it is they decide to do. |

I personally think his ceiling could be a 5/6 guy that can be put on the 2nd pairing with injuries, but also could be a lethal PP guy. |

Considering that they said he was very raw when they drafted him, I think he's developed pretty nicely. He may need a little more time before he's really where they want him. I think a 5/6 guy is pretty good considering where he was on draft day. Maybe some time with James Patrick would do him some good and get the rest of his game in order. |

Personally, I think Brennan will not be a very good player at the NHL level. He has been a pro for 4 years and has not logged many NHL games. He has been leapfrogged by a few younger guys with higher ceilings. |

who has leapfrogged him? Mcnabb is not playing nearly as well, Pysyk who I personally think we be the more solid player out of the three is raw and has been a healthy scratch. IMO they are developing Brennan sort of like Detroit does with their prospects. Detroit never has high draft choices but when they are called upon to play after 3 or 4 years they are ready to go, Im not saying Brennan is a lock to be a good NHL'er I just don't get the logic to unload him for a simple pick or prospect, I would be all for them moving him in a package deal to get a top 6 guy. |

Some guys take longer to develop. Especially when it comes to defensemen. Brennan was very very raw when they took him. Just because other guys have developed quicker doesn't mean that he's not going to be a good player.
He didn't start playing hockey until a much later age than most guys that get drafted do. He was behind developmentally when he was drafted for that very reason. But the Sabres knew that. He was a project. |

Although it is possible his value is at an all-time high right now with his AHL numbers. Maybe he could fetch a decent return who knows |

If they keep selling out... they will never lower the price. - Chipd
I'm not complaining as they are still very reasonable but have said it before, 05/06 my seasons were $400 per seat. They are now just short of $1100 per. I wish my pay went up the same percentage as my seasons have gone up since the 04/05 lockout.
05/06 $10 per game
06/07 $15 per game
07/08 $17 per game
08/09 $19 per game
09/10 $20 per game
10/11 $22 per game
11/12 $24 per game
12/13 $26 per game
IMO a 260% increase in 8 years is a lot. |

What's been the average increase in players pay?
Also, didn't they lowball 05/06 to get some fans back after the lockout? |

I bought mine in 04/05 for $400, when the lockout was finally over how could they raise the price after having people's money for well over a year? You might be right that they lowballed it though. Like I said not complaining just saying in 8 seasons my price has gone up 260% and that's a lot IMO. You don't think so? |

Personally, I think $400 is extremely low for a seasons worth of sports events. Its partially the reason why that 260% is so high.
They've been able to raise ticket prices because the demand is there. At least Buffalo keeps it relatively low compared to league averages and other teams.

That is the saddest part of all, with how ridiculously expensive it is in many other cities.
All the major sports are going to hit a wall eventually with escalating ticket prices and now PSL's because eventually, people are going to wise up and realize watching at home is a FAR better option, and about 90% cheaper, at least. |
