Gomez was WAY overpaid, but has been ill-used in his last two places of employment. I'd grab him for a year, just to see if he can still play (a la Boyes). As for Redden, I pretty much KNOW he CAN'T play, so I really don't want to see him here. He wouldn't hurt for depth, if he didn't cost so much....

I'd take Redden over Gomez without even thinking about it. The guy was putting up Karrlson numbers before he was traded to the Rangers, he's less of a risk then Boyes for Christs sake.
