The guy didn't report bcs he didn't want to play here. this started when he fought the trade the day after it happened. He said he wanted to stay there. Nothing he says now will change that. Is what it is whether his son is sick or not. - Cptmjl

having said that, if i had to decide if this is legit or an excuse....i think LV has proven he doesnt want to play for the islanders. the kid MAY BE sick, but i think LV is looking for any reason to not play here. - LetsGoIsles
This is true. I agree. That's why they should sit this guy |

No date set for Lubomir Visnovsky to report to #Isles yet, but his agent confirms that Visnovsky is coming to LI.

I completely understand your point but there are so many other variables besides his son being sick. - Cptmjl
I didn't say there wasn't. I just said I would never question another man's words when it comes to the health of a family member. That's all. I'm not talking about all the other crap he pulled |

The funny thing is if the Isles are hanging around when he finally does show it could be a boost for the club. Just saying |

Clearly you and i agree with this............so let me ask you and anyone else this:
After seeing this guys dismay for this organization; do you really think he's gonna give it his all and bleed blue and orange? Or is he just gonna coast, and say forecheck, backcheck, paycheck.
To me, i want a guy who's gonna lay someone out after the game cause he wants to send a message. Not a guy who's gonna be the first one off the ice, showered and home before i get home. |

I think the example or set wasn't good but you can look at it from both sides. Honestly if nabakov never played for the islanders I could care less. That situation that he created left egg on his face and the islanders. If you ask me he shouldn't be playing. If you have to publicly convince someone to play for you it's pathetic. |

On the NHL preview show last night, they mentioned Detroit was looking for a veteran defenseman. Snow should send him to the Red Wings for young d-man Brendan Smith...and a pick... I bet if he was traded to Detroit he would be on the first plane over here. |

I agree but its a business and you should never let your personal feeling get in the way of business. I want the Isles to win period and if a douchebag will help them win then I will accept that player whether I want him or not |

He'll get off the island no matter how he plays. He'll score a few goals, but he's not someone thats part of this teams future, so why waste our time. I'd rather a kid like hickey to be honest, who's chomping at the bit to get in the show. At least you know he'll bleed for ya.. |

Unfortunately feelings do get in the way........its called passion. Just like when on the ice you see your teamate get cheap shot from someone on the other team. Do i say, oh noooo that third guy should have thought about it and not jumped in? No i say, take his phucking head off... |

As a fan yes. As a player its a whole different story. The guys that actually care don't want this shat in their locker room and it shouldn't be forced IMO. If I was a player and got paid millions to play a sport and was proud of my team I wouldn't want that guy near my team. Can he help? We all know the answer to that bit its not the point really. He could help but the negative effect i feel outweighs the positives. Especially for a "rebuilding" club. |
