Can someone please tell me why this guy isn't a blogger? I feel like I just watched a Sound Tigers game after reading this.

I hear you Pete But....

Does it have to be a 2nd rd pick in the up coming draft?

Can the picks be spread over a couple or a few years?

When you owe (4) 1st rd picks they obviously come over the following 4 seasons.

Maybe the 1,2 & 3rd rd picks can be spread out also.

Just a thought, since I dont know the answer.

I don't think so, unless something changed with the new CBA, but I doubt that.

Poulin and Nilsson???
- jimmc7722

I'd say Poulin before Nilsson. Poulin leaves some bad rebounds, but otherwise I feel has been the more consistent of the two. Tough to really fault the goalies, because the defense is overmatched most nights. When other teams are in BPort's zone, they get lots of shots from good scoring areas.

As for Nelson, I'd probably group him with Sundstrom, not in style, but in stage of development. It's not like there's anything wrong with how they play, but they just need some time in the AHL to develop and refine their games. Nelson is good when he keeps things simple...going straight to the net, getting shots, looking for rebounds. Sometimes he tries to force passes when there's no room to do so, and sometimes he stickhandles just a bit too much. That'll probably stop with more experience. With the injury he's just coming back from, he probably needs some time just to settle back in, too. He missed a good chunk of games with the broken jaw. Sundstrom's much more understated. He just quietly always makes the right play in every zone. His goal in the scrimmage last night...that's typical of him. You didn't even really know he was out there until he put the puck in the net.

Edmonton Oilers placed D Alex Plante on waivers. A former first rounder.

I wonder if Snow put in a claim for him yet?

Well if thats the case. I'd suggest putting a package together and sending it to Montreal.

Rangers got Nash for next to nothing.

Isles have prospects to offer.

Whats the harm in trying?

Since the Smyth trade and Smyth not resigning with the Isles, i think Snow gave up on blockbuster trades. He might have gotten a huge ass whooping by Charles fat kid.

Actually I just confirmed, NHL teams may NOT treat injured players during a lockout. This is confirmed by the Flyers lead surgeon...

My fantasy hockey draft is tonight...like last year I'm picking JT first...if he had a better team around him, he would be in the top 10...
