The worst part about not buying out DP is even as a backup he is going to play at least 20 games and he is gonna lose 16 of them. If the guy can still play a little and be a decent backup it would still be a bitter swallow but at least you can somewhat live with it. The fact they will keep him and he absolutely 100% sucks balls is crazy

Not a good argument. The Habs were rumored to offer him 4 million for 3 years. They said he wanted more time.......5 years. If he's willing to take 4 million over 5 years, he surely would take 5 million from the isles. He won World Juniors with JT.
