This takes the cake and this is a true facking story.

I just read on Facebook from a guy I know. He has a Daughter who is about 10-12 years old and is very talented. She sings the National Anthem at at college games and she has done a few at the ducks game etc etc.. very talented kid. Whatever event she does she gets free tickets for her family for the game. This is the best part. Twice the Islanders have asked her to sing the Anthem as long as she can sell 25 tickets to the game. Are you facking kidding me??? I swear this is a true story because the guys isn't even a hockey fan. WTF is wrong with this team???? You can't make this shat up

I couldn't take this blog seriously once I read the name of the blogger that was at the presser: Ken D!ck of Okposonet.

is anyone other than I wondering how in the world Nino isn't in camp and looking at a top six role? I didn't even know Boyes was playing last night, Grabner showed some speed but no drive to the net and aside from JT, Moulson and KO, I didn't see anyone else skating with the same speed and drive that Nino had.

How this kid plays all last year on the fourth line when he's not ready and then isn't in camp when he's a standout last night and putting up goals in the AHL is a mystery to me. Strome gets sent back, Nino gets brought up, Boyes should get shuffled to the third line behind KO and Nino on the RW.

We have to stop rushing prospects. Just because Nino is scoring a point per game in Bridgeport doesn't mean he's ready for top six minutes in the NHL. Let him score at that clip for more than a couple of months. Let him get a full season down in Bridgeport. I remember another Isles prospect who scored a point per game in Bridgeport but didn't do s**t at the NHL level, Jeff Tambellini.

I turned on the feed last night and it was choppy and without audio.

I could barely make out the names on the jerseys at times.

But what continuously struck me was, "Who is that Number 22 in White?

That kid is a step above everyone else on the ice. All over the ice and with speed!

When I finally found out who # 22 was. I was shocked. Nino looked like a completely different player from last season.

Maybe taking him out of that unfamiliar Checking role suits him! (ya think)

If he is brought up (I dont think he should be)to the Isles this season. They had better not make the same mistake again by giving in 5-6 mins on the 4th line!

NINO looks hungry. Hope its contagious.

exactly what I saw last night, was shocked and impressed.

The difference between last year and that scrimmage was unreal, almost like having JT work on his skating between the 2nd and 3rd year. Couldn't believe the difference.

Noticed all season that while his first couple of strides are still a ways off, his overall speed and even more important his anticipation are much better. He breaks up ice at the right times, so when he takes a pass, he's already going full speed. And yeah, he looked like he wanted to prove something last night too. Ness as well. Actually, once they settled down, I thought the whole BPort team looked like they wanted to show the Lockout Squad that they could play.

Love hearing this stuff... I think we (ME) forget how young these kids are on this team. In the long run staying the course and not giving up on guys like Okposo, Bailey, Nino, etc..... will pan out in long run. ... I hope.

Most guys don't bring these guys up until they are older and had time to develop their game.. we started them much earlier.

Agreed... last year Nino had some great flashes on the ice... but I want to see the kid get his scoring touch back. missed many shots when it was just him and the goalie.

other than his breakaway goal against the blackhawks (the only point of the season) I didn't see anything from Nino last year. No decisiveness, no hustle, no confidence. He had all of that last night and looked like he was a lot more ready than over half of our training camp squad.

I find it very amusing that the same 2 guys who killed me when I was down on him early last year are now saying he did not have any good flashes... He did not score but he did have some very good shifts yes. Break aways, Hits, etc.

I would point to the Fistric hit and concussion as the point he started to go backwards last year. He did not look the same after that hit.

Why would he be worried? Guy can be a consistently horrible coach and still hold a job. Where else can he find that? Guy has got it made.

Killed is aggressive... but you were not pleased when I brought up his several chances wide open in front of the net without scoring. I said I was concerned about him not finishing.
