wellon the breakaway goal he went down and didn't even make an attempt to slide his reaction was the wrong one and way to early on the hodgson goal keep your skate on the post like a goalie is supposed to and it dosnt go in now i am not saying it was all his fault the defencive break down s and complete lack of presure on the PK had alot to do with it .... how ever good goalies find ways to make the tuff saves find ways to keep their team in the game and i didnt see that from Bryz today when they went down 3-2 a goalie finds away not to let that next goal in they come up big for there team .... Bryz did not do that today... yesterday he did he gave them a chance to win yesterday he did not give them a a chance to win today

I've seen some things that I like from Schenn. He doesn't look like he's skating in mud to me. In fact I think his skating is better then I was led to believe from listening to a lot of fans. I think a lot of people are just parroting what they've heard. He skates well enough to play in the NHL.

you may be correct but he needs to step up he needs to lift his game he dosnt have 15-20 games to figure this out he needs to be a wall now ... not 5 games from now he is our last line of defense and when the one's in front of him arnt getting it done ( like today) he needs to come up with that critical save ... i want the bryz from last march... that's what he is paid for

Hey I dont hate schenn. His skating seems fine to me..

I have issues with the twam as a whole. Not acceptable the last couple years with the talent they have.

How many critical saves did he make in both games? They were numerous. You can't expect a Goalie to come up with save after save when they're allowing point blank shots from an unchecked player in the slot multiple times on the PP. Allowing a player like Vanek two breakaways in the game. He was very good in both games. The team needs to be better in front of him. I'm not going to blame a Goalie because he didn't stand on his head and make miraculous save after save to will his team to win. When they didn't play well enough offensively, or on the PK to win.

It's an opinion and it has zero to do with being a troll. The knock from a lot of fans on Schenn is the belief that he is slow, and doesn't skate well enough to become a good NHL defenseman. So far I've found that belief to be unfounded.

its early and im sure they will get better...my rant is thought that im tired of lavys left wing lck system, it does not work and with our big slow dman it will never work, the holes are obvious that carle, jagr have left, also danny bs leadership and skill.

its gonna be very ugly if we dont get a mobile dman, kimmo looks like toast, grossman and schenn cant get out of there own way, mezzy +cobby are nothing more then a 3+4 guy. then we have 2 other wash up journey men that nobody wanted.

They didn't even play that in the first two games. I don't remember seeing the Flyers in a 2-3 press forecheck in either game. I don't know if it's temporary due to the short training camp, and no pre season games. Or if it is a permanent adjustment. But the system was not the issue this weekend.

He did make a big save. He stopped Vanek cold on a breakaway. How about Voracek helping him out, and the defense helping him out? It's a team game.

it seemed to me they tried to use lavvys signature system for the first 2 periods against penguins and caused odd man rushes the other several times.

look, everyne is on the same playing level right now, the pens and sabres d did not look sluggish to me as our d, besides schenn, foster our d is the same as last year minus carle who imo was our best dman is gone and its obvious, like i said before it is earl but the same issues that hurt us last year are already rearing there uglky head
