i truly hope your right, i hope all the carle haters see now what he actually did - mydoglicks
Well you don't have to tell me what Carle did, and how they're going to miss him. But looking at the big picture, I don't have a problem with not re-signing him.

The only goal Bryz could have saved was Vaneks breakaway. He bit and got beat. Is it a bad goal or a weak goal? Absolutely not. A world class move at that speed by a 40 goal scorer is going to difficult to save regardless of the goalie. Sometimes, you have to give Cred to the opponent for beating you - KINGKENZO
That's pretty much how I saw it. He bit and that will happen to Henrik Lundqvist or Patrick Roy at times. |

if you put a healthy pronger on the islanders there pp would be top 10, lol. - mydoglicks
Pronger played 13 games for the Flyers last year. Their PP was ranked 6th. They sure do miss him, but there are many ways to have a good PP.

bryz is no where near the reasons we have lost both games, i said it before and here it goes, our d is old slow and dumb

Why is that. I'm encouraged by what I saw with Luke Schenn this weekend.

also jagr was huge on our pp, looking at what we spent last year and what we got, ph should have found a way to keep carle and jagr, i dont feel ph played a good hand last off season and went all in on weber which i dont blame but the odds of them matching were pretty good, i did not like the jvr for schenn trade, that was a desperation move. |

It's like the other duderino said, piss poor execution. I'm attributing their woes to being snake bitten from a long layover. Problem is the schedule is not too forgiving. Hope they can get the lead out their asses cause nj and rags up next. |

Jagr wanted too much money. He's 40+ years old. Young players need to step up. When you have a Cap crunch, and lack a true #1 defenseman, it's hard to commit 5.5M to a Matt Carle. If you do, that severely limits what they can do to get a #1. If you have a true #1, and the Cap space, then you re-sign him. They will no doubt miss Carle. But there is a big picture here. And that's the long term future of this team. I don't see the JVR trade as desperation.

what did you see that gave you hope for ls? seriously maybe i missed something, imo he has no shot, hes a slow clumsy skater, and the only time i noticed him was when he was coughing up the puck, and i do want to like him, i always liked the big strong power house guys, i just have not seen that from him, hes 24 and have been resting, he should be a lighning bolt |

I disagree that he's slow. He skates well enough to play the position. It's all hype coming from Leafs Nation. He's a better skater then I was led to believe.

Lundy also lets up short side goals from shots coming off lost face offs....Eg Boychuk goal last night.....I spent all day arguing with a buddy about Bryz...I'm sick of every goal being scrutinized and dissected. Every goalie gives up goals, all I ask is limit the softies, keep your team in the game and bail your team out more often than not. |
