It's a bit early to start worrying about getting a good return for Kimmo Timonen. Besides, we all know if the Flyers are 3-7 at the 10 game mark, there will be moves to address it. |

So to sum it up. 2 games into the Season. And I've already read the system isn't any good. The Coach questioned. And players being traded. Guess that's about right for Hockeybuzz. |

The story is he doesn't play until he signs a contract, or is traded and signs a contract. - MJL
When does he have to sign by to get a year of service? Surprised nobody has offer sheeted him. Is Subban worth 5 or 6 million over 5 years? |

The problem with an offer sheet is, you either have to massively overpay him & give up a bunch of 1st rounders or Montreal will match. |

I'm not calling for any trade, the statement that was posted, is a future possibility, regardless of how distant and remote that may be. If circumstances play out this way, I'm for it, not predicting this is the way the season will unfold. Just engaging in conversation which, to that point, had slowed in here |

I just watched the replay, missed the game live as had to work.
I thought the two goals taken away from the Flyers were good goals, especially the the Fedetenko goal. Anyone else feel those were legit goals?
They had a great second period but looked completely gassed in the third.
Overall I'm still encouraged by this team, two tough losses, but they are going to be very good.
Also despite the loses the Flyers goaltending has been really solid.
on a side note...
Fckin Ott, he would have been a great Flyer. |

I think the first one was definitely a goal and a bad call. The 2nd one was just a bad break. Ref loses sight of the puck, they blow it dead. These type of calls tend to even out over a Season.

yeh, agree.
just a tough game.
Laughton is going to make them make a very tough decision, he looked better today then yesterday, and he was darn solid yesterday. |

I really like what I've seen from Laughton. He even has a little offensive flair to him.

On the 2nd disallowed goal, the whistle was blown before the puck crossed the goal line. So there isn't anyway it could be considered a good goal. You can argue the ref wasn't in the right position, or shouldn't have blown the whistle. But by rule it's not a goal.

Yeah, both should have been good. The first one was a joke-even Sabres fans were on here in agreement.
The second, normally I wouldn't beef about it, but the ref who blew the play dead(van Massenhoven) has a bad habit of being slow to get to the back of the net when there's a scrum. I have complained about him before, and when I complain about refs being in the proper position, he's the guy I mean. |

I was ok yesterday, today I lost it with the calls a bit today too.
I'm still honked off a bit about the lock out, but will watch every game anyway.
I like all the young forwards they have, and starting to think that about another year for Kimmo at a reduced salary might be a good idea. |
