Played the demo. Might be one to get. - tangent_man
I've got it next in line, once I finish Far Cry 3. I played about 15 minutes of it, pretty fun once you get through the annoying intro crap. |

Skating is one attribute a player can have. Pretty self explanatory. - MJL
Skating fast in a straight line isn't the same as being a mobile/agile skater. |

The kid with the club that could make the ground bust apart forming a wide chasm was my favorite. Dude with the fire arrows was cool too. - JoeRussomanno
The plans to scrap Uni and Bobby the barbarian (or at least have Bobby mature) would have been stellar if not for TSR falling into bad economic times and the cartoon series ending after 1 season. |

Heh, no. I mostly play NHL 13 but have gotten into reading more. My wife and son play Minecraft. I dabble in it, but leave it to the "experts" of the family. - Flyskippy
You better get them off the 'craft, man. You let the kids get too hooked on that game, they'll learn to never leave the house. |

I never said number of games wasn't relevant? I thought coburn started to really stand out after ~215-297 games played. Luke Schenn has played 312 games to date and often played against other teams top lines when at Toronto. I'm not sure he's that raw, but I am encouraged by the assets he has and think he can be above average. - flyers20032002
Every player is different. I think he is raw in some areas where he needs to improve.

Heh. Yeah... Xbox don't pay for itself. He has his own - and it can be removed. A one-week grounding and removal taught him that lesson.
My wife and I work well in tandem. Thankfully, with her being a teacher, M4 is doing well in school and gets rewarded (or punished) accordingly. |

Yep. They're still trying to get the FPS portion right, but they recently merged the two in limited fashion.

That may be the creepiest thing I have ever seen. The guy yelling lightning bolt had to be in his late 40's. - Stinkfitz
Not much creepier than people sitting on a couch becoming morbidly obese frantically twitching their thumbs while yelling racial epitaphs into a headset. |

Part of development is getting the proper coaching and mentoring, too. Coburn came to Philly and had two former NHL defensemen on the staff, as well as a coach in Terry Murray who is recognized around the league for his strong work as a defensive strategist. Then, the Flyers went out and added Kimmo Timonen and Jason Smith, which gave Coburn two outstanding mentors in addition to the existing one in Derian Hatcher.
Schenn didn't have that in Toronto, which may have actually hurt his development, because it's real easy to learn bad habits and real hard to break them. |

Speed and skating ability is one attribute. I take it you don't see any potential in Luke Schenn. I guess we'll have to disagree there. - MJL
I haven't seen enough of him to say he has no potential. It concerns me that he's been in the NHL for 5 years and we're still taking about his potential tho. In the two games I've watched it's hard to tell why he was so highly regarded. With Coburn his potential was so obvious...speed, skill, size...not so much with Schenn. |

I have a friend who plays the core MMO game. He describes it as 'spreadsheets in space'. Is DUST on PS3? |

Dont disagree there. I am not a gamer at all. I cringe when my kids force me to play xbox or wii with them. At least they are into NHL10 and MAdden 2013 but i thought it was bad getting beat by oldest (8) but now my 4yr old beats me more then not. |

It would concern me if he broke into the NHL at age 22, on a good team with good coaches and a good support system in place. As it is, he broke in with a bad team, with few good mentor types among his teammates and a market where it's hard to escape bad games.
He still is young enough to unlearn the bad habits, develop good ones and become a legitimate shut down defenseman. He will have to work hard to do it, but that doesn't seem like it will be an issue. |

They are two completely different players. I kind of see a little Dan Mcgillis in Schenn but hopefully turns out a good bit better. |

That's what I don't get. With most defenseman his age, and with his experience, you're still talking about potential. That's normal. For players to be stars early such as Doughty, or Karlsson, that's not the norm.
