Yeah, Voracek's looked lost out there. I think I'd move lines a bit before anything else. I'd rather see Voracek on the Giroux line, see B. Schenn centering Read and Simmonds and Couturier playing between Talbot & Fedotenko in the next game. - Jsaquella
Fedotenko looked real slow yesterday. He seems to have lost a few steps.
I like the top three lines so the 4th would be?? Wellwood-Laughton-Sestito |

He's still young enough to gain some foot speed. Look at foster, besides like someone else mentioned, he's gotta learn to anticipate where the play is going, which will make him look faster. - JoeRussomanno
Absolutely. Anticipation is key. I know L Schenn likes to take the body, but he cannot do so recklessly. That will also leave him out of position. |

I didn't see the Rags get piledriven, but I did watch the Coyotes Blackhawks game last night. That was a wild affair. - BulliesPhan87
Mike Smith has looked pretty pedestrian thus far. |

I'd actually dress Tye McGinn ahead of Sestito, but yeah Sestito until Rinaldo is back |

I played NHL 13. Found that my own defensive zone prowess needs work if had enough sports after the Brady cry fest and wanted to end real life sports on a high note after the rags got pasted. |

I didn't see one situation in the first two games where he took himself out of position to try and make a hit. In fact I expected him to be a lot more physical in terms of hitting then he was.

Yes sir. No doubt about it. Being that every game is a Conf game, teams are getting points every day. - PLindbergh31
It's ugly to watch, I really hope the Flyers that don't have their game legs under them find them soon. It's understandable, but these guys have to find their groove in a hurry, because even understandable mistakes will see us fall behind swiftly. |

Todd Cordell said he thinks the Flyers come out full of piss and vinegar tomorrow, for what it's worth. |

For the sake of Shane Doan's back, hopefully Smith finds his game. Old man can't be bending over to clean up broken sticks every night. |

Definately interested in gettting a look at Mcginn. I would love Harry Z to get another shot at the 4th line. He must be locked in Lavys doghouse for good. |

No need to panic after 2 games. Lots of mistakes that are correctable.
Shame about Rinaldo, but does Danny B come in on Tuesday and if so, how do you juggle lines?
Thoughts? |

Me too. Ill add that on the play he had to dive and took the tripping penalty, it looked like he got his steps crossed up and stopped skating for a sec at the blueline, at that point he had to scramble back. Just that split second is all any NHL forward needs.
Ive mostly been disappointed in all the players who should be at mid season form. Couturier, B. Schenn, Voracek, Read, they all seem to be fighting the puck.
All of them need to step it up right now. There are no excuses for them.

Move coots back to 4th line someone goes to the wing. |

Haven't seen McGinn play, but the reports have been positive. I think Sestito is basically a much bigger version of Rinaldo.
Looks like Laughton is going to stick. He's looked very good thus far. Have to give the Flyers credit, they usually do a very good job of drafting forwards in the mid to late first round. |

Sestito played better after he was recalled, but I'm still not a big fan. He skates well for a big man, but that doesn't translate into a lot of success.
I do think Laughton will stick. At the very least, he's making it a hard decision, which is good. |

How success is wanted from a fourth liner though? He's just gotta go out there help keep the puck out of the net and lay some wood. |

I mentioned the young guys briefly in my other reply, but I'll go further here.
Sean Couturier has been on ice for all but one goal allowed by the Flyers over two games. The only goal he wasn't on the ice for was Hodgson's goal yesterday. Not all his fault, but a guy with his defensive prowess needs to be better.
Brayden Schenn has looked like a poor fit for the Hartnell-Giroux combo. Matt Read has been battling, but hasn't played well overall. These are guys they are counting on heavily. - Jsaquella
Yep.. that's what I've seen.. I've notice Read seems to be getting completely muscled off the puck and has otherwise been invisible. Jake also needs to show up. |

Don't blow defensive assignments(which I have seen Sestito do), provide energy and be physical.
Also for such a big man, Sestito is not the best fighter, which isn't important, but that is how he ended up getting hurt last year. |

Jake just needs a couple more games to work of that goulash. |
