or Van has to absorb some of Luongo's contract—can't really see either working out, though.

“Excess salary coming back with a [throw-in] player who can’t play in our lineup. They say, ‘OK, we’ll do this, but you’ve got to take this.’ Well, we’re not taking it. We’ve had lots of proposals like that with good pieces that can help us but the other part doesn’t help us, and oftentimes they have term attached to them, so we’d just be turning around and buying out a guy."

I could see Gillis taking back back Yashin It saves Wang 5.5 Mil which he can use towards Rockys buyout making it 18.5 to buy out Rockey D not 24M

It would cost Gillis 5 Mil to buy out Yashin at the end of the year.

I realize you haven't been to the finals in 50 years, but things have changed since back in the day when the season was 12 games and the playoffs were 3 games.

You can't be that completely naive in hockey. You don't get rings for a Stanley cup final appearance. Only if you win the cup.

I would have agreed with you before, but after the Kassian deal gillis trippled his balls size.

Fair enough, but the guy has publicly lied before and it sounds to me like he's doing so again. He knows how crazy this market is and clearly this team is going to struggle to score without Kesler and Booth so the heat is on.

Forgot about his dui incident. He also passed out a while back. Wonder if there's some health concerns?

Still thought he'd played pretty well last season, though, but I admit that I didn't pay too much attention to his play the first game back.

I had him in my pool after losing a starter to a long in jury.

Boston was behind him with the puck a dozen times tonight. It was a miracle they didnt score 10 times on him. He's never in net...

If we were offered Kadri and Bozak for Lu and Gillis said no he is an idiot. Bozak is a terrific Faceoff man and Kadri so far looks like a good player. He would instantly be our best prospect which we are lacking. That deal I am sure is all but dead right now.

I was against this trade and I'm not one to change my mind based off of two games but Kadri definitely looks impressive and hungry to prove himself after much criticism. Hindsight is 20/20.

It's only 2 games, wait until the 10 game mark and then we'll know whether or not Kadri's for real. He's in midseason form because he played all year on the Marlies so he has a step on a lot of the ones who haven't played all year in the AHL or Europe.
