Niemi was very good last night, however. Seems also to me that is because he has been playing. Most of the guys who have been playing seem a step ahead of those who didn't. Not an absolute, but it seems trending that way.

The only difference between 9 D and 8 D is that we would have used up slightly more cap space with Schroeder sitting on the bench, and paid slightly less in travel expenses to Chicago.
