Habs wants short term if it's big money 5 + because they're not sure what they've got with PK. They know he is talented but don't know if he's a franchise guy. But if it's a long deal with 4 per, they would be more than fine with that.

PK is just young and will mature. He's already top Dman on the team and would develop nicely in Detroit. I just don;t see the team making a trade unless Detroit overpays and Habs will match any normal offer south of $5.5 million (my guess)
