Yeah, maybe. But Foster certainly wasn't among the dmen who played the poorest the first two games. - PLindbergh31
agreed. but i dunno how comfortable they'd be sitting down timonen or coburn
maybe meszy (b/c of the whole injury thing) but he's looked pretty damn good
EDIT: how long before everyone hates grossmann and he's traded to a team with a 2nd for a 5th? |

On a side note.. eks updates once a day are pathetic.. hockey is back and he disappears.

I think Meszaros has been the best D-man so far. Which is a pleasant surprise 5+ months removed from achilles surgery. |

That's odd because I thought he looked pretty decent over the weekend. - NickTheKid87
It was only two games, but initial impressions, I wasn't impressed. I don't think the Coaches were either. But that is a very small sample. And the 2nd PP unit didn't exactly try and funnel the puck to his point to use his biggest strength. |

Agreed... coulda used him on 4th line - Flyersgod
Modest 900K cap hit as well. I'm pretty surprised no one claimed him. |

I think maybe they want Meszaros playing and skating, work his way back to 100% after the long recovery. |

bump:
have we fired stevens and traded carter yet?
- hammarby31
Jesus man...we haven't even had sheet cake or rearranged locker stalls yet...have some patience. - hammarby31[]
By the way...anyone need an almost 4 year old? Mine said something about liking the Penguins while he was watching the game with me on Saturday...he was wearing his Flyers hat, but still... []
-lexingtonflyer
i have all the patience in the world. i've been a fan of this team since 1980. an 0-2 start is nothing. just felt like getting into mid-season form.
do you want a 3 year old and a 20 month old? they're both making me insane.
I have a 10 year old and a -5 month old. They're like bookends. |

I'd hate him. Cant deny his amazing ability to score goals. - Flyersgod
He's a good goal scorer, no doubt. I'd certainly take him on Flyers, depending on the cost. That said, I think that a lot of people look at his Cherry Hill roots more than the cost/benefit ratio.
For instance, people never get giddy over Patrick Marleau. Yet Marleau has scored 28 more goals than Ryan over the past 4 years. |

i would agree. IF they just want to get gervais a look in the lineup, foster would be the obvious choice to sit down imo |

No doubt to replace Colaiacovo. I'm shocked he's injured. Guy is made of granite. Was pretty funny people wanted the Flyers to sign this pretzel. - PLindbergh31

I figured that sixth spot would be shared when they came into the season with Gervais, Foster, and Lilja (despite being sent down). |

I agree that we can survive short term, but I definitely don't agree getting Giroux a winger is tantamount. - BulliesPhan87
Clarke, Lindros, Forsberg and Roenick in my mind were all great players but they had help. Scott Hartnell isn't exactly John LeClair. If you can upgrade to help Giroux, you should. |
