This has the makings of an interesting trade. I could toss in a pooping, throwing up, crying at midnight, 3:00AM, and 6:00AM on the dot 3 month old if you want me to sweeten the pot. - Lexington Flyer
hmmm....my 3 year old just became potty trained finally, so, i think i'm going to have to pass.
and speaking of interesting trades, i just got wind there's more luongo-schneider drama and bob mckenzie mentioned the flyers again. who knows. if poop doesn't get corrected here quickly, i could see a '95 scenario happening with luongo being our new leclair.

I'm tempted to take the 2 month old off the table and offer up my wife but if kids were coming back someone would have to take care of them. Plus she has one of those indefinite contracts with a NMC so I am probably stuck.
The Luongo trade stuff is sounding interesting. I'm sure it'll peter out soon, from a Flyers perspective.

John LeClair had a decent playoff run, but was playing third line center in Montreal when he was traded to Philly. He had shown little more than flashes to that point.
He had 4 goals and 6 assists in 20 games during the 1993 playoffs, placing him 8th on the Habs in scoring. He hadn't had a 20 goal season in his career at that point. - Jsaquella
Some of those goals were timely goals for LeClair at a reduced role. My point is, he was young and we don't really know what could have been in Montreal. We do however know what Hartnell is now

3 were OT game winners. Doesn't mean he was an established scorer. Prior to being pair with Lindros, LeClair's play was very similar to JvR, except LeClair wasn't as highly regarded as JvR.

so are we agreeing to walk away? although i must admit adding a 2nd wife sounds intriguing. let's just keep the lines of communication open for future deals.
i don't have any info other than what i mentioned, and a trade based on a poor start is pure speculation on my part. personally, i've never been a luongo fan, and i have no illusion if this swap were to happen, that the throngs would be happy. they'll poop on him just as quickly as they do every other goalie on this team. reading the comments on philly.com about bryz today just makes me shake my f'ng head.

I find it funny that vancouver doesnt want to take salary back in a trade...
Its luongo not roy - Flyersgod
They want to accomplish three things in trading Luongo:
1. Get value.
2. Make a statement that Schneider is the man
3. Avoiding having to spend a ton of money on a buy out.
Taking Bryzgalov back, which is the Eklund rumor, doesn't accomplish 2 or 3.
Agreed. Wouldnt mi d a trade though. Wtf is up with my n key? - Flyersgod
Seemed to work fine there. Operator error?
And it looks like you're one of those people that enjoys trading for the sake of trading. "Wouldn't mind a trade". This isn't NHL 13.
As far as I'm concerned- I'm not a huge fan of how Homer deals picks out like coupons, but I think the time is right to deal a 2nd and 3rd for a solid puck mover.
Who? I have no idea. But I think trading picks and a guy like Cousins for a defenseman is the right move with this group of guys.
But he bounced around the Habs line-up and was older than JvR when he made his debut. Very inconsistent and had a lot of trouble finding a role in Montreal.
I'm not saying LeClair was a stiff in Montreal, but he really didn't blossom until he landed on Lindros' wing.

Not taking anything away from LeClair here in the slightest. He was a great player for us.
But I could blossom on 88's wing. Same with 28. Just shows how great those 2 players are.
