Some noise on twitter saying that Nino Niederreiter has requested a trade.

#Isles Nino Niederreiter's camp is seeking a trade from the Islanders, a source tells ESPNNY. Unhappy with current situation
Got to admit, I'd have interest if I was the Flyers. Decent size, having a good year with the Bridgeport SOund Tigers, averaging near a point per game |

I don't blame him. The Islanders have handled him in a rather questionable, if not disgraceful, way....
I'd also take a flyer on him Jsaq. What do you think they'd ask for? Kind of an interesting scenario... |

Not taking anything away from LeClair here in the slightest. He was a great player for us.
But I could blossom on 88's wing. Same with 28. Just shows how great those 2 players are. - Giroux_Is_God
It was the level of blossoming. Brent Fedyk became a 20 goal guy on Lindros' line. LeClair became a consistent 50 goal threat |

I don't argue with you at all here. A valid point indeed.
What a player he was man.....wow. A freight train with the finesse of Lemieux |

I'd guess picks/propsect types. Maybe they'd consider Cousins & a 3rd. It'd be great if they'd be willing to take Sestito and a 3rd. |

First thing that came to my mind was a 2nd. There was a reason he was a top 5 pick...I'm sure the Isles don't forget that.
I'd be willing to send Cousins and a 3rd over.
Kid's still young and could be a hell of a player. I think he'd be a good 3rd/borderline 2nd line guy....don't think he kills penalties though |

Probably not, but he's still young enough to roll the dice on(won't be 21 for another 8 months or so). Not sure he's ready to jump right into the NHL, though, considering his struggles last year. |

Well if you're pretty much strictly a 4th line player on the Islanders (especially last year)....everyone would struggle.
I agree. Roll the dice! |

I don't think anyone is going to want to touch Cousins under the circumstances but the Value is about right I'd think. |

so are we agreeing to walk away? although i must admit adding a 2nd wife sounds intriguing. let's just keep the lines of communication open for future deals.
i don't have any info other than what i mentioned, and a trade based on a poor start is pure speculation on my part. personally, i've never been a luongo fan, and i have no illusion if this swap were to happen, that the throngs would be happy. they'll poop on him just as quickly as they do every other goalie on this team. reading the comments on philly.com about bryz today just makes me shake my f'ng head. - hammarby31
Walk away yup. She is a good one and I'd better hang on to her. Though, if you'd have caught me Sunday, when my inlaws were visiting I'd have probably shipped her off for future considerations
Bryz has not been the problem. Someone was saying in her yesterday that the boobird floodgates will open when he does actually let in a bad one this season. So far, he has done what he has needed to do. I'm not a Luongo fan. His post season record is not exactly a big selling point. |

Phillies signed Delmon Young. I didn't realize the NL now has the designated hitter.
Edit: For 750K, a no brainer. |

Coliseum closed, as did Medford for a time. Medford has since reopened. Igloo has never closed, as far as I know. - Flyskippy
Nope, Igloo has never closed. I know the owners and many of the skating coaches there (my daughter trained there for several years). Very nice facility, and one of the cleanest skating rinks I have ever seen. |

Nope. 3rd rounder. .
But he bounced around the Habs line-up and was older than JvR when he made his debut. Very inconsistent and had a lot of trouble finding a role in Montreal.
I'm not saying LeClair was a stiff in Montreal, but he really didn't blossom until he landed on Lindros' wing. - Jsaquella
no question about that. based on watching him play at uvm (and being a quasi-teammate) i didn't think he'd be an impact player in the nhl. |

Him and Visnovsky in a package might be what the Dr. ordered. Can't see NYI wanting to trade with Philly this early in the season though. Cold you link Bryz rumor of EK on here, for some reason I can't go to the hockeybuzz main page.... |

don't get me started on in-laws.
bryz was good against buffalo. missed the opener, but from what i heard, bryz played well (and only gave up 2). even the broadcasters were being pro-bryz.
he looked bad on the vanek breakaway, that's the kind of momentum stop you need on the road late in the period with a 1 goal lead, and they didn't get it. you want to see him make those saves. i'm not going to kill him for it.
luongo would be under tremendous scrutiny here, too. no solace in leaving vancouver for this market. |

I know Bourdon has concussion issues, but forget what injury Gusty has.
The Luongo rumor to Philly creeps me out.
Just say no, Homer. |

Peter Laviolette shook up the forward line combinations at the morning skate today. Here are the lines that skated together, per the Camden Courier Post.
Hartnell - Giroux - Voracek
Fedotenko - Couturier - Read
McGinn - B. Schenn - Simonds
Wellwood - Laughton - Talbot
Timonen - L. Schenn
Grossmann - Coburn
Meszaros - Gervais
