Anyone else think that Bryz is better than Lou? Can't believe all this trade BS. I hope Flyers management really isnt that short sighted that they believe Bryz has been the problem here. As for the players they better get their collective heads out of their a-holes tonight. Let's see if they learned anything from their butt whooping last spring. |

Add to th fact that subbans 21 goals mostly came from the powerplay.. (14)...
We don't use our dmen, or even try to set them up like montreal does. I think its a terrible fit.
For the right player i wouldn't care. But i don't give up a player i'm big on for him. - Flyersgod
Make no mistake about it. Subban is not a terrible fit for the Flyers. How does Montreal use their defenseman that is so different from the Flyers? I'm not at all a Subban fan, because I don't like how he acts. But that's just growing pains. He is very talented player.

Probably make as much there as the Habs supposedly want to pay him. They're lowballing him badly. A fair price for him on a longer term deal is around $4mm. They're offering $2.75mm.
I still can't understand a team making that kind of offer and expecting the player not to have hard feelings or be a tough negotiation. - Jsaquella
Look at what Del Zotto just signed for? 2.55M. Del Zotto and Subban are comparable players. I think it's about time GM's started bargaining for deals like this.

You have to get him the puck though. If we would be willing to change our powerplay to get guys out of the shooting lane for the dmen i'd be all for it.
Montreals pp is a lot different then ours.
With that said, we def need 21 goals on the back end for sure. - Flyersgod
Why can't the Flyers get him the puck? And how specifically is Montreal's PP different from the Flyers?

The only concern I'd have with sub ban coming to the flyers is that attitude. He wouldn't be the first phenom athlete to get caught up in the drama and hype. I'm not gonna say that it couldn't go the other way, where he could grow up and leave that stuff behind him. So if he did come here I'd be a happy camper while keeping my fingers crossed. However it's a pretty slim chance it happens in the first place. |

You have to be kidding me?
Montreals PP is completely different then ours. Their powerplay is always powerplayed at the point. With Markov etc..
Do you want me to imbed some video to show the difference? |

They're essientially saying they want to pay them as their #4 d-man, having Gorges close to 4 and useless Kaberle & Broken Markov higher. I don't blame Subban one bit. |

I would rather have Bryz than Lou. I'm not a big Luongo fan. I have issues with players that i feel put themselves ahead of the team.

I think Subban is better and has a higher ceiling than Del Zotto. I also think Del Zotto took less than he could have gotten.
Also, when Subban sees his team sign Max Pacioretty to a big money long term deal, I understand his position. I'd be fine of more GM's took a stand, but this could bite Bergevin. |

Imbed any video you want. Explain to me why the Flyers PP can't get Subban the puck? Do you by any chance remember when the Flyers had Chris Pronger at the point? You act like working the puck to the point is some revolutionary strategy that Montreal does and the Flyers can't. This is no different from your systems talk. It's Hockey. It's not that difficult. |

One of the difference's is that Del Zotto only signed a 2 year deal. So if you expect the player to commit long term, then the price goes up. But if they're looking at a short term deal for Subban. I think 2.75 is in the ball park for his current worth.

I think they wanted to keep him as cheap as possible but when others that are comparable in numbers got decent offers it killed any hope (not that it was much of one) from happening.
That's why I say if I am PK make me a better offer or I go to Europe & you can call me when you aren't wasting my time.
It's a dangerous game the Canadians are playing because other players they have that are up for new deals see how they are handling this situation. |

Agreed. The power is in the hands of the player in this case. 4 mil isn't crazy money for a dman of his talent level.

He's a free agent now, just restricted. Same situation as Jame Benn. |
