That's my thinking or go after a guy like Patric Hornqvist who will be an RFA this year. He's scored 30/21/27 goals the past 3 years playing in Nashville's defensive system without a great playmaker. Bobby Ryan's scored 35/34/31 goals playing the majority of the time with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. Ryan's cap hit is $2 million more as of now.

I think it's vital that the Flyers focus on getting a top defenseman before shelling out assets to get a luxury like Ryab. If we need forward help, I'd rather take that need to free agency or let a favorable deal come to us.
