In an unrelated note, this guy who sits near me at work breathes super heavy. I mean like a man dying from a collapsed lung trying to carry a fridge up a flight of stairs while Monica Lewinsky is giving him the business. Its horrible. - Buffalo--Sabres

Regarding Myers
he was perhaps our best player in the Flyers series
Isn't 21 months long enough to go without seeing that passion in his game? |

Any Leopold trade talk you might as well put the brakes on.
Leo has laready said he does not want to move.
If he is moved he has said he will just retire. He will not move to Calgary.
Sekera/Brennan and even Pysyk may be bait the Sabres would be dangling in any kind of trade scenario IMO. - BuffaloHardHat
He doesn't have a choice. He doesn't have a no trade clause. He signed a contract and he's expected to fulfill it. Players don't retire midseason because they got traded. He has a total of 5 months remaining on his contract. He'll have to put his big boy pants on and deal with the situation if it arises. |

Moving him to wing to play with Ennis and Stafford hurts him more than playing center between a combination of Ott/Kaleta/Hecht/Ellis....
take a couple seconds, or a minute to think about your logic there. - theblueandgold

Yes, it does. The logic is you draft a big, dynamic center. You don't do that to make him a winger, even for a couple games. Right now it doesn't matter who he is playing with. The Sabres need to see if he can hack it with the big boys. Oh, he also had the best face-off % against the Leafs so taking a guy who is getting better at face-offs out of the circle is a bad idea. IMO. |

Yea he needs to step up, let's just remember also how aggressive he was after he got benched last year, he came back got suspended for the hit on Zubrus then proceeded to get injured twice. I'm willing to write off last season completely for half of our lineup, they were a mess as a whole for half the year.

Nino Niederreiter's representatives are seeking a trade from the New York Islanders, a source told ESPN New York's Katie Strang.
Niederreiter didn't get an invite to training camp despite tearing up the AHL this season at a point-per-game pace. At the time, GM Garth Snow said the team had a plan for the former No. 5 overall pick and that Niederreiter was on track with that plan. Apparently, he's no longer pleased with how the organization views it. Niederreiter struggled last season, scoring one goal and posting a minus-29 rating in 55 games with the Islanders, but could make an impact if given a fresh start elsewhere.

Oh yes I understand he has no choice but he has let management know he will retire if they trade him so that kind is a deal breaker if you know what I mean.
Just passing along info that has been passed to me. |
