If the Gringo gets sent down, we are one injury away from Hecht being our second line center. We do not have anything close to an NHL ready center in the AHL (other then for a game or two). The Gringo is tearing it up in Quebec, last thing he needs to do is go back there now and learn bad habits IMO - homiedclown
Good point! We just need to see him on a line with some offensive talent. Hate to say it but I am looking forward to Lamo coming back!
I would love to see him stay. I think everyone is getting caught up in the hype instead of reality. I'd definitely like to see him on the PP more for sure! Maybe with Ennis and Staff? Hopefully the next 3 games will prove me wrong! - soljor09
I'm not getting caught up in the Garth hype, I just think that he, and the team are best served by him staying. Even Lindy has been saying he is playing well. That's not easy praise to win. As long as he doesn't crap his pants in the next couple games I think he sticks here and eventually we roll 3 good, not great or any Garth love, scoring lines.
Grigorenko was a man amongst boys in the Q.
Was our best faceoff man last night winning 4 out of 7.
I just dont see what sending him back to a league where there is nothing left for him to learn there. He owns that league. Just my opinion. - BuffaloHardHat
It is really an interesting situation going on to be honest. It's almost a double edged sword with Grigs, on one hand I want him on either of the top 2 lines because of his offensive talent, on the other right now he's learning a sound defensive game playing on the 3rd line, and he looks pretty good doing it. Question is is Ennis expendable? No way can Grigs be a 3rd line center next year.

I'd rather move him back to the wing. Stafford Grigs and Ennis. It is a matter of time before Lindy breaks that line up and puts Foligno elsewhere!

I will one up that
If Lenio comes back and is blah for 4 or 5 games, then Darcy has to pull the trigger and get another LW for that line.
Maybe Mason Raymond since the nucks will not be able to resign him - homiedclown
With Roy gone we might actually see a different Leino this year. Maybe less Vodka means more focus...It works for me in my job so one can hope it will work for him!

I honestly think they will roll 3 lines next season and keep the gringo on the third line with second team pp time. The following season, 14-15 is when Darcy is going to have to make many decisions.

We finally have #1 line playing like a #1 line... thing of beauty...
The secondary scoring of 82-63-21 will come no need to go all Lindy Ruff and change he lines after two Wins... we criticize Lindy for changing lines but then demand that he does it...
A fight is a fight... you win some you lose some... I just love how physical we are. We do not take crap from anyone...

Grigorenko's problem right now is that the Sabres need to find a way to get him the puck. When he gets it in space, he's actually doing some okay things with it. The problem is that the line, as constructed, isn't built to generate much offense. Perhaps Leino can help with that, but I'm not too optimistic.

He needs a skilled scoring winger with him... a lot of us keep saying that once Leino comes back we could see a different Grigo. Maybe Ruff gives them more ice time once he knows that they are a scoring threat.. but with kaleta/hecht/ellis on Grigo's wing he is just letting him get his feet wet and not over do it.

You forgot to say"I give credit when credit is due, Kaleta is playing great"

Agreed for the most part, but even with Hecht, Kaleta or Ellis, there has to be a way to get him the puck. Design a different breakout play or something.

I would not be surprised if at some point they put TJ out there on LW with Gringo and Ott
