That is actually good to hear, I liked him and like some others was excited when he got here but I'll take Hodgie anyday.

I think Hodgson has more upside. Foligno was the deal-breaker for moving Kassian. I think Foligno will bring a more all-around game to Buffalo than Kassian ever could.
Kassian is Brad May but can't fight as well. And I hated Brad May possibly more than any Sabre ever.
GOD what a draft..... And we pulled Brad friggin May out of that....

Agreed.
All the homers can say what they want but John Scott in this lineup doesn't help as much as what Staff did the other night.
When a player does something unexpected of them it sets a tone. Everyone on the bench takes notice (IMO).
Not a huge Staff fan but he really showed me something the other night. It tells me that he's learning how to be a pro and make a difference, not just on the stat sheet.
Who needs John Scott on this team if guys like Regher, Staff, Orr, Foligno (dare I say Myers) steps up every few games and gets into a fight.
If these guys hide behind John Scott all they are is the same bunch of pu$$ies they've always been.
Just an opinion.. - Pairo11

Where the miller haters at? And ppl say they want him to be traded. One thing ik is that miller will work his ass off to win a game. Wouldn't want any other goalie right now. |

the bigger question is where was this Miller the last two seasons and in playoff series vs the B's and Flyers

Until about 9:30 thursday night. With the compressed schedule points leaders, division leaders are going to be jumping all over. |

Miller almost propelled us past the bruins with a weak team. And the whole team came out with a clunker the final game vs philly. So I don't blame him. |

He had a 2.34 GAA and a .926 sv % against the Bruins. He wasn't the issue that year. |

If he keeps getting 2 goals called back per game he'll be awesome this year. In all seriousness though, I'm not his biggest fan (I think hes alright) but he has played well so far this year. Hopefully he keeps up the good play. |

A weak team?
The sabres won the division that year and the bruins edged into the playoffs on the last weekend of that season.
His clunker was not game 7 vs the flyers, it was games 2, 5 and 6
when your hovering around 18th in the NHL for most of your career in stats, you deserve to e put under the microscope
he is becoming a drama queen on the ice, taking the torch from roy9er
after saying that, he has been focused this year but any fan that has female doged about miller over the last few years, has every right to.
I suppose when leino gets a 4 point night we can ask where the leino haters are and when scott gets an assist we can find out where those haters went as well
2-0 is 2-0
nothing more, nothing less
no reason to gloat about anything yet, wait til we get a cup |

The refs clearly had their rest in the lockout. They are real trigger happy with the calls. Thats has worked both for and against us. Thankfully the PK has been good. |

I just want him to play that way for a full season or 3. I'd also feel much more comfortable with him making $3.5-$4M per..
For $6.25 Miller should be an elite goaltender. As it's been stated ad nauseum on here his career stats state otherwise.

he had a crap game in game two when the sabres could have put the bruins on the rope though and let satan look more like crosby later on in the series
once again not hating today, but let's not put him into the elite goalie conversation after two games, one vs the leafs that did not have many great scoring chances until the last 5 minutes of the game (aside from a couple of clanks off of the cross bar) |

In both of the two games there were two goals that were waived off due to early wistles or bad calls by the refs.
Just joking. Kind of. |

They had a full 2 minute 5 on 3 where he was the best penalty killer.
I'm not saying he's elite. But he certainly looks better than he did last year, that's for sure. |
