All the teams have been away from the game for 9 months ? i'm sure it will take 5 of 10 games to get back into the swing of things .

Most have been on vacation enjoying life.

I find it amusing that everyone is being so critical of the team in general right now. They've given up 3 goals in two games. There are teams that have given up twice that in 1 game.

We're in a good spot. We played a very good Philly team and a rested Toronto team. They got 4 points out of the games and gave up 0. Can't really ask for much more.

All these facts are making my head hurt...

And I agree

Yea I don't get the Myers hate, or the Miller's lucky BS. Myers is a +1 with a goal in 2 games and I believe someone has went as far as saying he's a "tire fire"

I'll admit, he's made mistakes, but they haven't burned us, so let's not panic. The only defenseman I can say I haven't noticed make a mistake is Sulzer. That doesn't mean he hasn't though, I just haven't noticed it.

I would like Myers to clean his game up some. But some of the "mistakes" that I think people are getting on him for are more offensive than defensive.

My real concern is getting the ennis line going, Vanek and Pommer can't carry us every game. If we are gonna do damage they have to be aggressive and start scoring

They've created chances and Ennis has been everywhere. As long as they keep working the points will come.

I loved the idea of the 3 lines but with Leino out it kinda put it on the side burner . Seemed the Ott Grigs Leino line had a lot of promise from the scrimmage and practice reports . We have yet to see it .

Ennis has looked a little slow IMO, he doesn't have that spark he did at end of last season. I have faith they will start to get hot.

Well Selanne was quoted as saying he needs another 5 games to get his legs going again, so pretty sure it is the same with most of these guys, these early season points are crucial in this shortened season! Bring on Les "defenseless" Hurricanes!

Agreed, they've already blown nearly 1/2 of his tryout waiting for Leino to show up and give him a real line - so either send him back until Leino's ready or just keep him and give him spots where you can. Been a bit of a waste so far, but he's done fine for a kid.

I think it would be better for him to go back down.

I found him slow and a bit lost on the ice. He is to strong for the LHJMQ, but the NHL is to high for him. To bad he can't go to the AHL.

Yeah. It kind of sucks. But I feel like the offensive chances will come for him regardless. The fact that he's been pretty solid defensively is a lot bigger than I think most people realize. He may be focused on that a bit more right now. He's offensively gifted, so those chances will start to materialize on their own without him really having to do much. People just need to be patient.

but be patient with him up here or in Junior? He hasn't shown me any reason to keep him up here yet. Plus with the number crunch with Gerbe and McCormick comingback the easy eay out is to send him back.

To Be Honest, I think Hecht is better, largely b/c of his salary...

I don't think there's any benefit to his development to send him back to junior. However, like you said, the number crunch may dictate it anyway.

I know. But this is an 18 year old. Not a 26-30 year old.

This is one instance in which we should be patient.

Id like him to stay for no other reason than I find him interesting. IDK if he's any good or not at the NHL yet because he hasnt done anything. Hasn't been bad either, but hasn't stuck out.

He is only playing 3rd Line/4th Line Time. When Gerbe & McCormick are healthy, he won't have a spot where he is useful enough. It is better for his benefit and the club's that he is sent back down.

What benefit is he getting being in the Q? Bigger minutes? Are those extra minutes really quality minutes for him?

It's better to see him perform than barely even play.
