the move is going to cost everyone more money to go see them... the way i see it... nassau builds a new "coliseum" we pay $20+ to park there, its 20+ to go park at a game in Jersey so I can only imagine theyd gouge us for more here.... on top of whatever you spend in gas to get there or you get on a train for $20+ round trip, dont have to worry about gas and the headache of getting out of the coliseum. why is this such a big deal....? - mayhemhockey2
Not me ....it'll cost me less....except for the ticket....but the ride will be FAR LESS....aggravation, besides everything else....$28 for the round trip NJ Transit, and I'd assume one round trip subway ride is far less than half a tank of gas, and an hour to go six miles on the CBE. |

If I was Nino, I'd fire the guy. I can only imagine the amount of sh!t he took on Twitter yesterday over something that wasn't even his idea. You'd think agents would be a little more careful given how accessible players are now with social media. - shinkdew
I'd be absolutely shocked if Nino didn't give the agent the okay to push the trade request. The agent works for the player, something like that which tends to burn bridges would be an awfully dangerous thing to do as an agent without the player okay.
In this instance, the agent's taking the blame for it and shielded Nino from the blow back because that's what the agent is supposed to do for the player - he's working for Nino.
Regardless, this shows a serious disconnect between what Nino should have been expecting after last season's 2 point effort, and what he's got to earn before he gets another shot. Barring injuries, I'd expect Nino to finish the season in the AHL and be a better player for it.
I still would have liked to see him in camp and would have liked to have seen him get a few games, but after last year, it's tough to question Snow on this. |

#Islanders have jumped into the mix for Luongo...BIG TIME
Then what trade him to Toronto? - kear20
I have to admit when I read what Gilles had to say about a mystery team, and they would have to move a player. Plus the Canucks would have to buy out one player coming back...
I thought of the Isles!!!
They would have to move Nabby, and the Nucks would have to take Ricky for the year, then buy him out.
Hopefully... it's just a rumour.
Not really in the mood for a Luongo fiasco... |

Why do I have visions of Wang walking Kasper's bride down the isle.
Ricky as the best man... Crosby crying like a baby, and the short fat asian kid as the ring bearer!!!!

if nino was in fact blindsided by his agent, then hell fire the guy. if not than the agent is falling on the sword for this one and it is clearly just damage control.

But thats my point... i feel its a great thing...just speaking for people in nassau and further east... there are plenty of hockey fans who go to games who do not drive and the coliseum was a pain in the a** to get to... its so much more convenient...the whole brooklyn thing needs to stop getting bashed the majority of fans who show up to the games now will continue to go, and will this will open up the oppurtunity for people who were possibly unable to attend, go to these games. change is not always a bad thing is what im getting at and Dee really needs to give it up now... theyre not in kansas city or quebec... theyre 2 counties over.. not a country over |

depends on the deal but if its luongo for RDP, id do something along those lines....(depending on the development of the goalie prospects and what the isles can get back for them) |

i dont think anyone is bashing the move...the only one ive read who has a major issue seems to be dee; not a huge loss compared to the hundreds of others who'll be coming bc of the move. |

The issue with the story seems to the timeline. IPB says the conversations with the agent took place last week and Nino has since sat down with Snow. Who knows how that went, but it doesn't sound like the whole story was reported yesterday. I guess we'll see.
On an unrelated note, the fuzz might be coming for you, LGI, as I think I accidentally reported you when I tried to quote your comment |

The agent works for the player for a twenty year old kid he advises a player and directs him. Especially a kid from over seas who doesn't have a clue about the business. |
